  8. How much are you going to take off? what kind of condition is the rest of it in? Does the engine run? How many miles? Model and serial number?
  9. That's a beautiful truck! What are plans for the blue truck. Sedan cabs are not very common and are neat. I've got my eye on an ex-Memphis truck.
  10. I just sent it to my resident "IH" specialist, Fred Crismon.
  11. Where did you see that truck. Looks like a custom front end!
  12. Check e-bay all the time, you never know what will show up
  13. That's a dang good idea( the gift that keeps giving all year!)
  14. The only way you will see what is wrong is to pull the tranny, You cannot get the fork out to spin the throw out bearing. You probably have a broken disc or spring(s).
  15. Does anyone have any idea on oil filter for 1947 mack fire truck with EN 510 engine. I helped save one from the scrapper and got a friend to buy it! He has got it started but wants to change oil this weekend. I don't have any parts books or catalogs that old. Thanks
  16. Are you still needing information on this unit? I may have a service manual that I could copy.
  17. Here is what I am going to do, Take the original assembly off, build a bracket to mount a oil filter head and spin-on filter( Baldwin OB1308 head and Baldwin B7577 filter). When you take off the mount there are 2 threaded holes, the 1/2" is the inlet for the filter and the 1/8" is for the return. Make your lines and your in business. Should be about $60 or less for head and filter, $30 or less for lines. Can't find filters no more, they were over $50 at swap meets.
  18. On a ENF707A engine, the original part number for piston rings was 353GC1466P1. Mack superceded that number to 353GC1522B. As usual none available thru Mack. Hastings shows part number of 2C5550, and they currently have none available. Have not been able to find any listings any where else. So my question is, If I needed a set, where and who might have some?
  19. Have your flywheel resurfaced. I assume you have a push-type clutch, so the thickness may be close.
  20. Hey Barry A while back you had a picture of an "L" fire truck you needed to move to make room for expansion of your shop. Do you still have it or is it gone. Any info on it?
  21. An easy quick check os to start the engine and spray starting fluid around it. If it is leaking the engine will speed up!
  22. Hey Steve, give me a call at work M-F 8-5 1-800-999-8972 I can help you on an "L" fire truck I also sent you an e-mail
  23. Carl got in Saturday after noon with the truck! Only lost the window glass, couldn't take the high speed.
