  1. I forgot, on the install, you only have to drill 2 holes, each side, in the frame. my truck already had onr that matched, so I only had to drill 1 each side. Easy driveway install. 2hr for a rookie, if you don't have to chase parts. One person except tighting the frame bolts, my arm wasn't long enough to hold the nut and tighten at the same time. 3 seconds ea side with 1/2" air gun... It takes longer to run the air lines than to put the unit on..
  2. I had it on a pete 379. went on easy. think of it more as an driver controled shock system. As the drive on different roads, you can adjust it on the fly, to get rid of slams and bangs from the road. it takes a wile to find how it rides best, sometimes more air is better, sometimes less. the only thing i didn't like was their cab control, i changed mine to the type you use for a 3rd lift axel.as i said it takes awile to leard how to set it, when you do its great. good luck
  3. A link on the same page for the cheerleaders, was a lot better... slide show...
  4. Were you talking about the trailer or tractor.. trailer see above. I see no problem with HIS tags on the tractor, just make sure LEO knows you historic if stopped... good luck

  7. You might try truckfridge. com they have lots of sizes.. $ 400-500 i put one in my pete and it ran all the time, for 9 yr..till i sold the truck.. run on 12v, cold enough to make ice it didn't run the batts down, for overnight, or short weekend, for longer you needed to turn it off...
  8. i think it's staged... fake.. watch were the gun is pointing and were the nails appear... he waves the gun aroung and the nails go in a line just my opinion...........

    Rob

Happy Birthday Rob You are now a genuine antique person!!!
  14. Years ago... there used to be an air hose you screwed into your spark plug hole.. take 1 plug out and put the hose in.. your engine works as a 1 cyl air compressor.. down side - your filling tire/truck with air/fuel mix!! it might ignite, but i have no reports of this. another option for emg use.. a small bottle of nittrigen, or co2..can be refilled at a welding shop...third option.. bottle of air, dive bottle.. these are just air but at 750-1000psi (i think) very high pressure, and can be refilled at a dive shop... just wild ideas.. think outside the box peterj
  15. My pete/cat has this happen too.. first, put a pressure releaf in the compresser head (pop off) it will save your compresser.. Mine only does this the first really cold spell, when the truck sits, on startup it builds air the first time, then shuts off ok, then when it leaks down to pump the second time, its either really slow or frozen solid. I have to pour alky down the compresser feed line. when it works i'm usually good for the rest of the year... does your dryer have a heater? is it working?is it getting power? i've found that mine freezes at the elbow at the inlet to the dryer, it,s a comb of water and oil, sludge.. when sitting it slowly creeps down the line and accumulates there.. hope this helps .. that's all i know..
  16. thanks, i'll have to figgure how to do that... i's in a H67 coe...maybe put a string on it and see if i can pull it some more when the throttle is mashed... or xray vision..lol can't see the pump or linkage when the cab id down..get a really small mechanic... thanks
  17. yup... truck came from calif... i think the last users set it for 57-58 mph, didnt want there drivers getting speeding tickets...lol i changed it from a 9sp direct(rt11509) to 13sp , added rto12513 back half.. now does65.. but always want more
