  1. If no one else bites get back to me. I am next to City of Bethlehem Pa Exit 67 of I-78.....A few miles down the road, just slip me some gas money. Would have to be on a weekend as long as I could get a babysitter.
  2. Yes....Yes I suppose you are correct......On the other hand, no, you are not. 140GZ (F554G) Waukesha: 3200 RPMS= 55 mph comfortable cruising speed (currently.) 671N POS DD: 2100 RPMS= maybe 40mph top speed???? And three forevers to get there......... So unless someone coughs up two axles.......IT AINT HAPPENING.... Besides.....I already have the plan mapped out if the Thunder Pumpkin ever grenades.....Cat has a reman 3208 set for almost the identical horsepower & torque curve at 2800rpms......So if I ever have to put in an oil burner.....Thats the one. And before everyone tells me the 3208 is a boat anchor, yes I am very well aware of that. However I am not delivering freight on a daily basis and if I go over 600 miles in one year, that was a busy year.
  3. Got 5 gallons of gas for the F.W.D. today in a can when I fueled up my pickup. That should get me about 3/4ths of a mile......
  4. Anyone have any idea what the power was for these monsters? Prolly safe to assume some kind of big slobbering two-stroke piece of crap .........?????

  9. Doug I was gonna say count me, the bride and the three stooges in but when I called the bride to check she reminded me that this friday is trick or treat in Hellertown, so we will not be making it, Bride even said "those nice folks we met with Vlad during Macungie? If it wasn't T or T I would!!!"
  10. I was going to be sick but then your pic counter-acted the sudden wave of nausea,
  11. Happy Bday Lass......Hope you have a good one no matter how you spend it!!!!!
  12. Congrats my buddy. That's great news. I am sorry I did not answer the phone when you called yesterday, I was in a meeting and then I totally forgot to call you back, but when you told me in your voicemail that you were free for one year, a big old smile broke out across my face............Outstanding!!!! But......You may be cancer free for a year but yer still ugly!!!! Just kidding my friend!! You know where I am during the weekdays- get a hold of me sometime and lunch is on me!!!
  13. You gotta stop bringing 1/2" drive stuff to a 3/4" or 1" drive fight!!!!!!
  14. You have to be smarter than the nuts, bolts and tools.
  15. The car??? Ha. We can take my pickup- you know the one.....You've seen the tail lights of it a few times...... LOL
  16. Mike if you go back, and you want some company and help, and do it on a Saturday, gimme a week or two notice and if I can swing it I'll take a ride with you.
  17. Harry is alive and well, I communicated with him earlier this year through emails. He was at the ATHS show in Yakima last year. My father was one of the original "Dirty Dozen"- the 12 Owner Operators who were with Harry (Muschlegel) when he started JEVIC back in the early 1980's. My father retired from there after 28 years with Harry in 2004. I myself worked in the Willingboro Fleet Maintenance shop for a few years- mostly doing trailer sheet metal repairs. That F Model was indeed his, and is painted up in the original JEVIC two-tone blue. The only F-Model JEVIC ever ran was the one he coincidentally bought from my father- a 1978 Allentown tandem screw with a 300+ and a 10 speed. I did a lot of work on some of his hobby trucks- I worked Mon-Fri day work until 3:30pm, and then usually stayed for 2-3 hours on "The Harry Clock." I stripped, sandblasted and primed the entire frame of one of his H models.......And a lot of misc work on some of the others including the black-over-red poospreader that Gene Tackaberry now owns. Harry might try to make Macungie 2014. Mark- are you speaking of Maurice- who worked at JEVIC and then went to New Century (also known as "Jevic Part II: The Sequel.") I remember when Harry was in love with PPG Durethane paint, which apparently was a pain in the ass to blow.....So the PPG salesman offered to bring Maurice to their training shop for a 2-day class, so Maurice got a 2-day trip to Pittsburgh just to learn how to blow Durethane.
  18. Larry, Darrel, Darrel, Darrel, Darrel, Darrel............
  19. Holy crap that boot rack alone would bring a couple of hundred bucks at Allentown.........and don't even get me started on the wooden ground ladders......
  20. That guy with the red ballcap- I'd like to play checkers on his shirt.........
  21. You don't wait in that line with lights and sirens.....And even if we were going non-emergency, there is another entrance I could tell you about, but I would have to kill you.
  22. I was a DoD Civilian Firefighter there for 8 years....LOL Got to know a lot of the various truck manufacturer's representatives and contractors pretty well, especially the Oshkosh guys. Building Inspections in the vehicle maintenance/service areas and the testing areas downrange took a lot longer for me to do than everyone else. Got to take a lot of stuff for drives "when no one was looking." By the way, OC & S headquarters has moved to Ft. Belvoir, Va (I think....cant remember for sure...) The Ordinance Museum has also moved as well, although there are still some tanks, vehicle guns and other mobile pieces remaining at APG, as well as the restoration shops.
