Shows how lost in the past some of you guys are... Communism has been effectively dead for 30 years now. Other than maybe Cuba and North Korea until those regimes fall, the only place you'll find communism now is in the museums, where it belongs... Along with the swastikas and confederate flags.

These "communist goals" fall well into the realm of "alternative facts". For a start, there is no evidence that any communist or communists stated them. The "newpaper" quoted appears to be the written rantings of a single paranoid person and was never a proper newspaper. 41 Chevy blunders even farther into the realm of alternative facts when he attempts to assign this unproven artifact to the democratic party or progressive movements. Let the real facts speak for themselves- Communism failed and pretty much died, the Democrats are thoroughly capitalistic, and the progressive movement at most only wants to civilize "jungle capitalism" to the point that it doesn't destroy itself.

Actually, my message was pretty capitalist: Unlike railroads where just 7 dominate the North American market or container ships where a handful of companies dominate the market and can maintain profit margins, trucking is highly competitive resulting in low margins for even the most successful companies. BTW, as a practicing capitalist, I own stock in several of these companies across multiple modes.

Most UPS runs are on hourly pay, but there are a few that pay by mileage. On the mileage runs, they are also paid at hourly rate for time fueling, delays, etc.. As far as trucks needing electronic controlled engines to support ELDs, back in the 90s when UPS first started using their "IVIS" ELDs, almost all of their trucks had mechanical engines.

Ford is doing great at profitably building cars and trucks. But instead of solid sustainable profits, Wall Street wants sexy stuff like driver-less electric cars that no one is buying or even lining up to buy. Ford family and workers, it may be time to take advantage of the low stock price and take Ford private and/or into an ESOP again!
