  1. Red Horse a 2019 F-550 is a proven truck. A 2019 GM 5500 is what? Built by Navistar and sold by GM dealers that have not sold class 4-6 trucks in years. What could go wrong. I would not want to be the owner of the first one.
  2. I would bet that somewhere in South America some one has built a FT-850 or even a FT-9500 with a sleeper from a 2000+ F-750.
  3. Mattis is a good man, but we need to stop being the worlds policeman. Beware the military industrial complex. They have much to lose by Trumps actions.
  4. They have 15+ year old Mack trucks still running and will only buy Kenworth now and keep them for 4 - 5 years. That is what stupid emission laws have done to truck owners now. The small trucker can not buy new trucks every 5 years.
  5. Kscarbel I see a lot of rusty Sprinters here in MI. MB dealers in SE MI are few and expensive. FL dealers are busy with heavy trucks. Small repair shop I deal with, hates too work on Sprinters. Any Ford dealer can repair a Transit. I have never driven a Transit, everyone that I know that has one has had good luck so far. I would like to see a T-250 or 350 flatbed like in Europe sold here.
  6. Red Horse, I talked to Ford Exc. today who runs Axle lines at Sterling Plant, Super Duty axle line running "balls to the wall". They were sending axles by airplane to KTP last week to keep up. F-150 line same thing, Dearborn Truck ( F-150 ) 115% capacity is about 25 miles away, trucks get there faster than airplanes for now. Also he has driven ( has a 2018 F-150 now ) a new 2019 Ranger, he likes it a lot, Ford plans to sell a lot of Rangers. Michigan Truck is a very large plant. Every Sprinter I see around here is rusted and expensive to repair. MB parts are not cheap. Ram vans? The old Dodge Tradesman Van was better.
  7. Ford Sterling Axle Plant (MI), Super Duty axle line running at max. Ford KTP ( Super Duty F-250-350 ), 110% capacity. Ford Michigan Truck (Ranger ), started October, building more every day. Ranger sales start in January, Ranger will out sell GM in 2020. And Transit will pick back up, it is the best van sold in the US by far. Ford, the best never rest.
  8. Ford - Avon Lake Plant, 87% capacity, 100% commercial vehicles.
  9. Did they burn any of them no issue trucks in France over the weekend?
  10. I have 1975 Ford LT 9000 tandem dump, still running, we use it as on site truck.
  11. Navistar building a truck for GM, what could go wrong? A lot. Ford builds what they sell. Ford and Ford dealers know light commercial better than GM.
  12. Were early Ford tandems a T series?
  13. Todays Land Rover is not a 4x4 work truck. Do they still build a real 4x4 model?
  14. Is any Jeep built or sold for real commercial use anymore?
  15. The GM plant shutdowns have a lot to do with funding self-driving and autonomous vehicles. They think this is the future, I wonder if most of us want one?
  16. Cannot build what you cannot sell.
  17. Saw a new Michigan built Ranger on the road today, looks good
  18. Results, not BS, think about it when you vote today.
  19. How did we win WWII without this truck?
  20. The truth won. Brett Kavanaugh will be a great Supreme Court Justice.
  21. There are a lot of GU 813's pulling 8 axle MI gravel trains here in Michigan. I have seen a few new Anthem's with 7 axle MI tankers already. My 1998 CL 713 dump is setup for 145,000 GVW with a E7 460, it gets the job done and is good on fuel too.
  22. I wonder how much money Ford wastes in China?, Turkey? How about South America? Have any of you been to Detroit? I would rather Ford waste money in Detroit, than Turkey.
  23. The dash looks like it is from 1970 Diamond Reo.
