  1. Back home were getting sloppy wet snow and rain. But I'm down in central fl in 80* temps wearing shorts and taking sips off of a glass with an umbrella in it.
  2. Well I guess we Can add them to the list of people that we won't recommend . I respect anyones opinion but do feel sorry for such shallow minded people. He is not a true trucker or hobbiest in my mind..
  3. in that vintage a 250 was a thermodyne. Without intercooling. Often used with 10 or more speeds. Looks like a 237 but many people swapped over basic parts to convert an old engine into a more user friendly design..I.e spin on filters..
  4. I give full permission ,not that it was needed to ask anyways...I have more class than to complain that my truck was chosen to be shown off.its nice to know someone thought highly of my truck to use it as a mack dealer t shirt.... Cough....I would however like to know when more shirts are made. I would like to buy a few...cough...
  5. Good idea... There are a few of mine on there. Better yet just tell him to remove them and don't give him a clue to where they are at.. All these years i had respect for him and now find out He is a joke
  6. Barry is that my truck in your sig? Wtf....where are my royalties? LOL !
  7. yea that's a roll off trailer. Waste management has some around here as well... I guess it's for larger or heavy dumpsters?
  8. Think some were the same as r models. Just brackets were clocked differently...?.
  9. Fellow board member selling a 350hp pump off a 4v will it bolt up to my 2 valve and should just a pump net me more hp?
  10. I will say that there were a few members that just had to put down just about every mack pic they saw. I was cool with a joke every now and again but it started to seam that some of the members could always talk down to a mack owner but if you dare mention any thing about another make of truck the internet police would chime in. but I guess most of us know that every make of truck had their good and bad. I might check out JOT tonight just for kicks...I really do miss the old ATHS members that would share their wealth of info. it seamed that there was always a few good members that had info on specific stuff. It was very helpfull to have that when I was working on off breed trucks.... I have to say we are very lucky to have Barry and Watts mack letting us use this site how we please. Very limited upsets and we just kind of run it on our own with the pleasure that the mods dont need to police us. We have the off topic and VIP aera where you can show off your inner demons yet keep it clean out in public view. Were all a little odd in our own ways yet our members here have shown the most respect for others than any other board I visit. No Political correctness crap and we just drive this ship like the old school drivers were back in the day. I know the members here have helped me dearly in my time of need and im very thankfull for that!

    ATHS

Havent been on aths site in over a year...I heard some of the old school members on the ATHS fourm had started a new forum with no more bull shit. Is that true? Is it still up and worth the time or is it the same old PC garbage as the last forum became? Just wondering
  12. What would you say the model designation is for this truck? A R600 is a standard hood. A R700 is a standard long hood.... Maybe a R007 because this is a reversed long hood? Lol
  13. We recently repaired a crack in a 1996 international otr tractor. 500k miles cracked dead center above the front axel. Top rail flange was cracked and raised up 1" ....looked like it pinched the rail and the tension pushed the flange upward. We added a inner channel as far forward and aft as we could before getting into big bolts. About 8" either side of the crack. We drilled a hole to stop it spreading, welded up the crack and it's held for the last year with no trouble. Yours will be a little more intense of a repair in that area and the way Mack frames are up front....
  14. What are you asking for the pump. Known or aprox mileage?
  15. Ok here is how I did mine... Remove horn button and nut, soak in penatrating oil. Now Remove doors, hood, fenders, seats, floor boards, gear sticks. Use a back hoe to lift cab off frame. Careful to not bend steering wheel. Now use engine hoist and steering wheel puller to remove wheel....simple
  16. Pretty cool. Steel dash small cab. Looks like a Hendrickson front with a hood off a rd800
  17. $10,000 with a cracked frame.... What a deal...
  18. Is r jones a big company. Only seen that r and a Pete 6 wheeler... Look at the arrow truck. It has the old school green clearance lites up top...
  19. I thing grand rock does that but I'm sure it's pricy... Did you try a local muffler shop?
  20. It should be plumbed into a port in the intake manafold or at some place in the piping between the intercooler outlet and intake manafold . this gives you the true boost reading after the air pressure drop thru the intercooler. Also check the line for kinks or oil blockage. that can give false readings as well
  21. well with 8lbs of boost and no smoke you either have a bad reading on your gauge or the fuel is cut way back and it will not be pulling like it should. just running down the road at 1800RPM and not throttel its pulling 2psi. as soon as you touch the pedal it would jump up to around 10-15 psi under normal cruiseing speeds
  22. IIRC you should see about 23-27psi ... does it blow black smoke, low on power? look for a large boost leak in the system
  23. love that long, tall, chrome, single stack.
  24. If you can't find one do what I did and buy a carpet mat with a rubber back and cut it to size. I made mine nicer than stock and the cut outs are perfect. got my mat from u line I found a local lady that was going to sew in a Mack emblem but never to around to it. I had little luck finding oem carpet in good condition and a hole that as in the correct place for my gear stick...
  25. I have seen that r jones r model about 100 times and not once did I see it dirty. I swear he has the truck washed after every time the tail gate slams shut........
