  1. What I can't believe is the weight on what looks like a wagon on the ass end! Likewise the front axle -I assume the rubber is solid?
  2. Nice A-Car..air conditioned at that..If you like hot air coming off the hood😎
  3. Rivian I think..and aren't they up to their ass in alligators??
  4. Back in the "old days"- 70-90's- IMO if you were buying tanks, IMO it was either a Fruehauf or a Heil, just a matter of who was the hungriest for the business. And Fruehaufs? Factory branches all over the place.
  5. Looks like an international with a Jeep cab??
  6. Boy..does that sound familiar. Plus i'm into my fourth year of "covid long haul". Some people say"no such thing- I say bullshit. It just effects people in different ways. As for me, lack of strength, tiredness, brain fog.."where is that XX?"..right where I just looked five minutes ago! Last year I started bitching to my PC doc about how this was dragging on. He looks at me and says..."But you are 80 years old"! I said yeah and two years ago I was 78 and I was doing stuff a lot of 58 year olds could not do. Case in point I was having troubling starting my Stihl 036 saw. finally I'm searching on line and find some gal who works on saws..subject was hard starting..and she says..." now you guys who have these big Stihl and Husky saws, it takes a lot of snap to start these""🤔I ended swapping it to my son for his smaller saw.
  7. Maybe...but CH cab is like 36 years old-time flies!
  8. Well Paul the aerodynamic issue is key in US. No horns on the roof, no fender mounted "lollipop" turn signals etc etc. The turn signal issue really gets me. Some trucks the turn signal IMO is compromised when its included with the headlight package.
  9. Hah My bet is the battery died at the job site and they have been jack hammering the concrete out of the barrel ever since😎
  10. How many yards were those? Can't believe they gained much with all that weight of the extra axle -or was max allowed higher because of the axle?
  11. Or dumb like a fox. the next announcement from Sweden will be...." After careful consideration and to remain competitive in the market place, given th commonality of drive trains, the Mack organization will be integrated into the Volvo operation blah blah. History repeats itself. White Motor bought Sterling in the early 50's then said..."duh but we have Autocar". end of Sterling. Hope I'm wrong
  12. No clue-but like I said my bet is it is a short BBC judging by the steep angle of the hood. Ill try to post what I received.
  13. Just got an email from Mack with a teaser photo of a new truck to be announced 4/8. Check your emails. By the sharp angle of the hood looks like it might be like a 90 BBC tractor/truck.
  14. Again, I wonder if there is ANY relationship with Dearborn beyond a license to use the brand.
  15. Hah.backward cams. Were those DMs built in the new southern plant. I remember we had new R models built there that hade all kinds of assembly issues. Brain fart-what was the name of the town? So carolina right?
  16. so tank had a seam let go? look at front bumper-like he hit something head on looks like a Tech-Weld? ?
  17. what a waste..you would think those front discharge mixers would bring decent money south of the border
  18. George? I thought the old man was Angelo?
  19. Very nice..just curious-how far below grade are piers.? Rebar?
  20. For sure that was the best practice in the old days. In spite of the fact that the more kero in the blend the less BTU's (power) you got out of a gallon. The good diesel additives today, contain more than just components that improve winter performance. They have components like lubricity improvers for good pump life, "detergents" etc. But best practice is the fuel has to be additized BEFORE the wax forms. Think of the wax as molecules with rough edges/corners- they interlock. What good additives do is turn those molecules into small "bb's"-they roll instead of locking up. Very few terminals today even have kero-at least here in Northeast. And Brocky you date yourself..you had to know some math back then to figure how much of each you put into each compartment-today unless you are loading at some "gypsy" terminal, loading racks today are computerized and the blended fuels are bottom loaded- with additives and or kero or both. And I'm with you -top loading in the wind in upstate NY😎
