  1. You have to look at the return on your investment. If they cost even double the price, you'd still be saving money because of less changing tires and less rotations. Only shitty part is if you cut one and they're new you're out more money. Maybe with this increased tire prices we can insure just the tires.
  2. If a/c with a factory chrome bumper, you won't have spacers. Unless you have the grille guard, then you need an inch space so when you open the hood the bottom of the hood doesn't hit the grille guard. Steel bumpers had lots of different spacer options.
  3. The main thing you'll notice is better mpg. 1 mpg increase would probably almost make your truck payment at this price.
  4. Here's my .02 cents. On a straight truck I gross 90,000 on 6 axles total. 3/4 highway miles 1/4 gravel. Double coins lasted 55,000 miles. Michelin xdn2 will make 105,000 to 120,000 miles. I rotate every 30,000 miles. Plus with the xdn2's, when you're done with them they still have casing value. I hate changing truck tires and I hate paying someone $70 to change a tire out. So I go for the Michelin.

  6. In the Midwest, drums are $120 and shoes and kits are around $55
  7. In straight trucks for me that gross over 80k, I wear out peanuts at 440,000 miles. The last three I did were all at 440,000. I found that to be funny.
  8. The lightning bolt when u flip on the Jake is a bad switch. About 1 a year I replace.
  9. Looks like that's basically "scratch" built. Looks awesome 👌
  10. I had one that spun a little on the shaft. Truck would lose power, in the shop the pressure would check fine, put a load on and it dumped the pressure. This guys sounds like the pump.
  11. That would be fine to run. If it were done half assed the seal would've been out constantly. It has to be welded straight to not eat seals and bearings.
  12. I also thought about using an Eaton style because you can buy them for about $35. But I chickened out. I found a PAI one for about a third the price of a Mack one. They are a little expensive now. You want a PAI 3767. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.finditparts.com/products/7895653/pai-lsv-3767.amp
  13. Don't wanna be a dick......but, I spell it "loud." If you wanna insult someone, at least use correct spelling and punctuation or else it makes you look like a bigger jack off.
  14. I had an 88 r with the level 3 interior. That was a very quiet truck. Heat and ac worked better too. Even the inner doors were lined with a sound deadener.
  15. Pressure check intake and cac. You are probably pushing boost out you cac. My 350 mechanical always hit 31 psi
  16. Nuss's exhaust pipes all discolored gold from the heat. But it was dyno'd at 650 at the wheels I believe. You want the 2 piece pistons and lot of timing. Might be a hard starter.
  17. Does anyone really "want" a 15 speed? I thought they were a horrible tranny. Why not a 18?
  18. I see you can still get a lame ass vnx Volvo with big Cummins power.
  19. They can be froze or I had them filled with bugs and not work.
  20. My biggest gamble was buying a dodge pickup once. Had the same result as Grayhair. I lost. Note to self.....never buy a dodge unless it has a Cummins and as little electronics as possible.
  21. These are the easiest engines to run an overhead on. Take the little rectangle inspection cover off the bellhousing and on the flywheel you will see marks with two numbers by each one. There is like a gun sight where the inspection cover was and you line that up with the mark on the flywheel. The two numbers by the mark are the pistons which valves you can adjust. So if there's a 1 and 3 you go on top and check number 1 and 3 cylinder and see which one the rockers are loose and adjust that one. Then you'll turn the motor till you see the next line on the flywheel and do that hole. Two turns of the flywheel and you're done.
  22. That's a good transmission if the updates are done. There's a shaft to replace with a wider snap ring and a few other things. There is 2 different 2180 trannys. The reverses are geared differently. I like the low geared one.
  23. That sounds pretty sweet running. 35psi is a lot of boost so you're making some power.
  24. I know on the last new truck I ordered, air ride was actually heavier than camelback.
