  1. Like the pictures. Arron Tippin another Mack guy. FW
  2. A few weeks ago I was contacted by a guy in Canada looking for parts for a B77, He is working for the Jennings family restoring Waylon's truck that moved the Band. FW
  3. This truck is known to me as Ralphy's B-81, driven by Ralph M. for the Kesseli & Morse Co . which was bought by Scavone about the mid 70's . The Kesseli & Morse logo is still on the barrel. This truck and others delivered many loads to our jobs in the 60's thru the early 70's. The Kesseli & Morse Co. had one of the first DM-800s in the area (1965). FW
  4. D. Catino got it from the city and put the dump body on, he also had a B-81 10w dump . His father Joe ran L and B models and I had got a few parts from him many years ago. His son Joe Jr. is the guy that bought the RS755LST, the one with the 1693 cat that got wrecked. FW
  5. I checked with my local dealer and he couldn't find a RWS758 in the US system. He did know a guy in New Hampshire that repowered one with a 3408 . FW
  6. Here is a picture I took in the mid 80's of the City of Worcesters B 80X and Schertzer lo bed , there was a time from the late 70's to the early 80's that it never moved from where it was parked at the DPW yard. FW
  7. I have used a few different things on unlined bodies. diesel fuel good for just about everything mop and glo (floor wax) for snow solution of rock salt and H20 gravel, stone, dirt calcium chloride is bad, I don't use FW
  8. It is an EQX, the hood sides, grille shell, bumper, fenders, cab steps different from an standard EQ. I am told the fenders are the same as the BQ series of the early 30's. My favorite of the E model line. FW
  9. Looked at this truck today, the number was misread it is RWS722LST, vin 1410 , date 8/84 , E9 440, 12spd w/ dr stick, 44's camelback (spokes) 4;17. 202 wb, double frame, wet line. PM me for more details. I apoligize for any misinformation and stand corrected from BMT members and others on specs, models, and numbers.
  10. Going there tomorrow , I will get a full report. FW
  11. Yes it is a 755, then must be 400 not 440
  12. A guy I know is thinking about selling his truck. 84 or 85 RWS755LST, vin 146?, 440, 12 spd., 44's on camelback , double frame, 205? wb. spokes on rear, been off the road awhile but a good runner,750kmi., orignal owner, orignal paint, all there but needs complete resto. Located central MA. PM me for the details. Enjoy the Holidays, FW
  13. Check valves not holding in transfer pump, hand primer shouldn't leak with the bail in place. I think the replacement transfer pump doesn't have the hand primer, and don't know the current price. FW
  14. Isn't the most weight you can have on two axles 50K?
  15. I think that was called the 60/40, 60% on the drive, designed to save weight and increase payload. I have a couple, very simple and looks easy to service. FW
  16. To make a 220 a 262 you changed the injectors, valve timing, pistons , exhaust manifold and add a turbocharger. Some didn't change the 15:1 pistons to have more snap but they didn't last long, head gasket problems, and no piston coolers. A NTC 335 was a great engine , good power and long life with little or no problems. A man I knew very well had a AU 70 Autocar with a 335, RTF 910, SLHD 4.11 ( ex petroleum hauler) under his Lo-bed and I drove it a few times in the mid 70's. locally at that time big power comapred to 673's, 220's, 250's, 671's. He always said this truck "has balls as big as the earth" but real power was out on the road the KT's and the 1693's. I have all the pieces of the truck except the engine and radiator, sad story. The 743 group of Cummins engines I like the most, and have 20 or more, but there is no small bore 262 cummins that will out perform the 855 335, thats garage talk , sorry. Is the B-77 worth the asking price , I would say so. FW
  17. Aren't all 707's goverened at 2100. FW
  18. I have a winch made by Mack , 20's-30's vintage and has it IM symbol cast on the gear case. will try to get a pic soon. also the skeleton of a 20's Fruehauf semi trailer, and I know a person that has a Mack 5th wheel. I am Thankful for my Mack friends and enjoy the day, FW
  19. The manual fuel shut off screw overides the soleniod. As stated earlier you have to have a way to stop the engine, it is easier to get to the shut off screw if you remove the tach cable. FW
