  1. First, everyone screws up, big or small, noticed or not, shit happens, part of the game Second, not trying to hijack your post, just started typing.... Hooking hydro lines is one of my fears. I once pulled a cable tv line down, not hazardous, but frightening when all I saw in the mirror was cable whipping around behind me. That was the last time I took someone else's advice on directions. I make a point to have a good look around on sites for overhead anything, may look kinda dumb, me stopping and standing on the steps of the truck staring at what appears to be nothing, but that's a chance I don't wanna take. We had a guy (a "hotshot" to be polite) last summer driving the old bitch when we went to a house the owner of the company I work for rents to university students. We went over to clean it out on a rain day, and the driveway was tight for a 30yd can, but it would fit. Well, captain rammy neglected to heed my advice about the hydro lines coming from a neighbouring house and hooked the insulated part of the wire and started to pull them out before he saw THREE of us waving and yelling that he was caught....Had he dropped in 2' further back, like I suggested, he could have set it down and not come near them. But hotshot oil patch heavy hauler "knew what he was doing". Point is, he didn't learn, and that's my definition of stupid. A mistake made, and learned from, is a lesson. Sorry again for the irrelevant post to the wheel bearings
  2. The light bar on the roof is what drew me over....it was a fire truck, and the guy took off the body, as it was rotten, and put A roll off frame on it for his farm
  3. Not an expert, but I think the computer keeps record of error codes. The only way to get codes on the fly with vmac is to stop and use the diagnostics (if your truck is equipped with the vmac I'm familiar with), or use a scanner.....my lightning bolt comes on when the thermometer craps out. Just means SOMETHING electrical ain't right. Someone with more knowledge than I will chime in I'm sure.
  4. The lightning bolt signifies an electrical problem, ANY electrical problem....could be nothing, could be a big deal. Mine comes on if the thermometer craps out....pita. If it doesn't have the vmac system, maybe get it scanned, I am pretty sure they store error codes. Just one goofy reading will set it off, personally I would rather spend the money and keep rolling....
  5. If it's electronic, it would tell the computer something ain't right. before a regeneration, on my 2011 at least, truck has to be in neutral, pto out, etc. All kinds of "self checks" within the computer, and I'm not positive, but adequate oil pressure would be one of the criteria.......just my two (worthless canadian) pennies.
  6. She ain't going anywhere, take your time, and here's to a speedy recovery.
  7. The pick up doesn't look like it likes that setup a whole lot....better him than me. We have a half dozen 450's, two diesels and 4 v10's, and they are wimpier than they look for sure. The boss man has a bullydog in his, and it still struggles with the little float and a skid steer on....
  8. Thanks. Just rolled 100000km the day I went on holidays . Almost 3000hrs on the motor
  9. There's a few cat straight trucks (dumps and roll off) around here, and I will admit they look sharp, but that looks like an international with the wrong badge......
  10. Didn't really get time to chat with him, but it has a stinger roll off from ontrux....
  11. From the album: Other Trucks etc.

Unknown year Mack 8X8 concrete mixer at the local Mack dealer. This particular company still has about a dozen of these runnin the highways. sorry for the quality, these pics were shot as i drove by after dropping off our float for an annual inspection, and i had places to be
  12. From the album: Other Trucks etc.

1990 Ford F800 Fire Truck converted to a roll off. Saw this at the dump and had to talk to him. Good looking rig for its age
  13. Irrelevant, I know, but my 2011 mp7 will climb to 205-210 on a long loaded pull. Once it levels off, she settles back down.
  14. Aha, found it, now it's more accurate...thanks guys. And lol @ hatcity, had me fooled
  15. Where do I change it....user control panel? Sorry to be a pest, but I don't want to mislead other (more specifically new members) who's threads I post on into thinking I know macks inside out.....
  16. Now I have a question about the title that appears above my avatar: is this based on number of post or what.....it had said "truck nut"....which is true, I love trucks, tractors, cars, things that do stuff. Now it says "old iron expert", which I am not.......mechanically minded, yes, expert, no.....
  17. X2 Very proud to fly the flag at my house, on my car, and my Mack....and very proud to say I AM CANADIAN
