  1. I'm about as happy as Rob would be if "Momma" went out and bought him a R-model Mack with a V8 in it. For once I got a good deal! I looked at this grill a couple of weeks ago at Tractor Supply, but was too cheap to actually buy it for $180. Then I came home and looked at it online and it was $40 more than Tractor Supply's price, and I wished i'd bought it, so today I decided to go get it. Best part was, it was $30 cheaper today than it was then- usually anything I buy goes on sale the next day. Now all I gotta do is put it together-i'm gonna throw away the instructions first and just use my vast knowledge of grills that's in my head. Couldn't be too hard... 6 hours later... hmmmm...doesn't look like the picture on the box, but it works great!
  2. Hmmm...could be a bidness opportunity here. I could set Jo up in the blasting bidness and she could make a little money on the side blasting stuff while i'm trucking around. Probably wouldn't take off though, she knows nothing about splosives.
  3. Hey check this out Greg, I just googled buckshot tires and found this-you probably saw it already, this is the tread I had on the old scout. Only had them on the rear, had 31'' recaps in front, but it stayed off the highway. I just used that in the woods and on old logging roads for fun. Had 2 sets of Super Swampers for the mud bogger but I never put but one set on it at a time. I liked tall skinny tires in the mud, had a set of Q78 Swampers, a 36'' tire, and the others were 12.50-38's. http://www.offroaders.com/reviewbox/showproduct.php?product=746
  4. Time sure flies, doesn't it? It's true, the older you get the faster it goes by. The 4th. of July has come and gone. Seems like just a little while ago it was snowing. I'll take a week off about the first week of August for vacation, then fall will be here before you know it. Now I gotta get over to the store and see if that truck I parked behind it Friday is still there. If it is, and it'll start, i'll go unload in Lynchburg. Someone broke into the store last week, so I don't like leaving it there, but it takes up most of the driveway here and I thought more folks were coming by Sunday for ribs and chicken. I must be off...
  5. party's over,back to that grapefruit diet!
  6. yup
  7. what makes you think I was drinking Natural Light?
  8. Thanks Mark-Drakes Branch is nowhere from here! Here's more pictures- it was raining this morning, so I made a rain coat out of a trash bag-used to keep one of these in the truck. ribs ready to go! some unidentified fat guy...
  9. Wow, what a good day I had today! Cooked lots of ribs and they came out great-4 racks! Plus 5 lbs. of chicken wings, got a ripe tomater in the garden, my son and his wife came over, the next door neighbors came over, just had a great time. Might have some pictures. Yeah, here's some pictures-every thing in the yard's smoking tomato grill ribs-bone test...done!
  10. still, be careful- make sure it's a coil rated hardwood 4x4, don't trust that treated pine! So, that grapefruit diet really works,eh? Momma, after 2 weeks on the grapefruit diet-
  11. Buckshots! great tires!..they still make those? I had them on my old '64 Scout. Made by Gateway I believe...or was it Gateway Gumbo Monster Mudders- can't remember right now. Had 33'' Buckshots on it anyway, I think Monster Mudders had a similar tread. Southern States sold Buckshot tires in these parts.
  12. uh...did anybody else click on the related video, "bikini girl gets mounted by dog"?..um...me neither then.
  13. yeah...right!..reminds me of the time I was researching comets, and accidently typed in "hot slutty cheerleaders"...wow!
  14. A-men brother!..(Bulldogman)
  15. I could handle it- i'd just look away...besides, i'm not around here much, the rest would ...well...would...uh...make it OK!
  16. That's why I love this site- you just learn so much here! However, besides VT. the Oklahoma Sooners are my favorite college football team, since the '70's. How about the Oklahoma-Nebraska game in '71, won by Nebraska 35-31? One of the greatest football games ever!
  17. I saw one of them at Wal-Mart in Altavista yesterday...not sure which one, probably all look the same from the rear. She was in the 20 item or less express lane with a full cart.
  18. The IH's I drove both had N14 460 Cummins engines turned up to 500 hp. Don't remember the torque rating, but it was probably 1550.
  19. I always considered a 10 speed roadranger the easiest and simplest transmission out there. A driver that's too lazy to shift one oughta be doing something else anyway, just my opinion. Kinda sounds like "we're gonna make this super 10 for drivers that are too lazy to shift a regular 10 speed-maybe they can find the energy to flip a button"
  20. It really is shameless. First he took the bear, the bear runnoft and left him and came back home, then the gorilla turns up missing. Very suspicious indeed.
  21. Looks like you could dump 50 lbs. of chicken in it, a bag or 2 of flour, a box or 2 of duncan hines cake mix, some salt and pepper, and turn it on and bread your chicken so you can fry it up golden brown- just a thought...(Paul Van Scott) Should work for fish too. Note how I gave Paul credit for using his quote-that's the way to plagieurize (whatever) somebody!
  22. Pretty sure it's still there.
  23. I totally agree, I hated them too. First gear wasn't low enough, and they shifted way too slow, you had to wait on it. I drove a couple of Internationals that had them. We found that when taking off like you're talking about if you moved the button, then took the stick out of gear and put it back in they shifted ok, but that's still a pain in the ass. It's about the same as having a 5 speed and 2 speed axle.
