  1. I saw this picture on FB, the fellow that posted it said it was a late '40s W series International. So I said it was a W-71 Mack, and the headlights and grill must have been changed, and posted the same picture between two W-71s. Then he posted this picture from a 2004 Wheels of Time- I've never seen or heard of these before. The cab does look a lot like a W-71, but the red one looks exactly like a W-71 cab. Wonder if Mack made them stop making them because of the similarity? And the W-71 was made from '53 to '58- wonder if Mack took the design from International?..I just don't know, anybody?
  2. I used to have a 4 door '68 Biscayne with a 283 and Powerglide.
  3. I have to agree, it's one of the prettiest places i've ever been to.
  4. I once had a '70 Chevelle SS myself.
  5. I liked Chevys, but the '66 and '67 GTO's are one of my all time favorites when it comes to looks.
  6. I think that's where I stole- I mean "borrowed" it from, Michael Savage's facebook page.
  7. .
  8. I like the '68 better.
  9. Once upon a time in the quiet Kingdom of Callaway, King David's sons approached him and said "we're bored". So David said "I have urgent binness to...er,..uh...discuss with Queen Blushing Bride- why don't you guys go build something or something. There's lots of junk- I mean, there's lots of old parts and pieces out there you can use. Help yourself to the tools, just use whatever you need. I'll be out to help you in a few hours...or maybe a few minutes." ...and 10 minutes later they drove this up to the front door- . . . . ...meanwhile, the queen went into her private bathroom. The king heard her screaming "who tha' f#@& stole my d@&* toilet seat?!!" ...then the little princess screamed "momma, momma, somebody stole my d@ toilet seat too!" The queen said "doth thee wanteth thou mouth washed out with soap?" "#%&! no", said the little princess. "F#@& that!" ...So the queen got in her car to go to the Wal-Mart store to get a new toilet seat. She reached to turn on her radio- and it was gone! The king heard her screaming "who tha' f#@& stole my d@&* radio?!!" Then she tried to start the car- The king heard her screaming "who tha' f#@& stole the d@&* engine out of my car?!!" So the good king said "come on my little princes, let us mount this chariot and flee- we shall ride like the wind! we'd best maintain a low profile for a few days- we do not want to be here when she sees what's left of her most prized possession, her great gramma's priceless antique sewing machine". They were last seen in the Minneapolismolinemilkingsawingwashtubmanurespreading...thing somewhere in Minnesota.
  10. is that an old sewing machine pedal under the dash? Need to work that and the pitchforks in there somewhere before I copyright it.
  11. takes me a month to make that kind of money.
  12. Wow, that's just- it's...I don't know. Pretty neat machine, every time I look I see more parts used off of something else. Very ingenious. On the other hand, somebody sure spent a lot of time and work making a completely useless Minneapolismolinemilkingsawingwashtubmanurespreading...thing.
  13. "that's not important- I have a gift for you friend, how about just taking these bags, and you forget everything you saw and heard here?" "well, thanks, but I don't smoke- my girlfriend does though, i'll take it for her. Now scram!"
  14. I'm just guessing, but i'd say the parser owes $927,917 in back child support.
  15. ** We do have the title for this Mack**
  16. Like that Chevelle too. I had a '70 Chevelle SS, it was dark green with white stripes, 396/350, which is the 402 engine. Wish I had a picture of it, I have none. It was bored .030 over, had an Edelbrock Tarantula intake, so the carb. sat like it was twisted a quarter turn clockwise, 780 Holly carb, Crane cam, headers, M22 Muncie 4 speed. I only took it to the track once, and turned a 14.30 at 101 mph. Not very impressive numbers, but - the all important "but"- that was with G70 rear tires. They were really skinny, I was spinning the tires into high gear. The guy I bought it from ran high 13's with an automatic in it, also with street tires. He wanted to keep the trans. to put in a Blazer he was building for sand drags, so I went to a junk yard and bought all the clutch linkage, pedal, etc. I already had the transmission and a good bellhousing. I sold it after I got married the first time, and bought a Pontiac Tempest, with a 3 speed on the column. Here's a picture I "borrowed" from H.K.Trucking. This is the 427 Corvette engine in Herb's '69 Chevelle, but it looks just like mines did, same intake, breather, coil, etc. I did have different valve covers, I had the smooth chrome ones. I'm not gonna post it until I get permission from Herb though, so don't say anything...
  17. cattle are starting to look like alligators around here, or hippos- a lot of them get in the farm ponds belly deep, now i'm seeing some where all you see sticking out of the water is their heads and the top of their backs.
  18. Thank you, and yes, I get it.Hope you get some rain out that way soon. We got a nice shower Friday evening, but that's all it was, a shower. About a quarter of an inch I think.
  19. I always like looking at all these goats on this hillside- can't tell from the picture, but it's almost straight up and down! I was looking towards the sun too. We don't care 'bout no double yellow lines in West Virginia! A red dump truck here's my theory- the road used to keep straight and cross the old steel brigde. then they built a new bridge. rt. 33 between Brandywine, W.V. and Harrisonburg, Va. 33 west of Harrisonburg a green dump truck self explanatory,eh? I took this item to Cuyahoga Falls to be refurbished. The paperwork just said "rotating assembly", the official story was that it came out of a debarker, but I know it's really the main warp-drive shaft for an alien space ship. It's not coming back to Va. when it's done, it's going to an undisclosed location in Texas... some dump trucks, couple of Diamond Reo Giants there. A girl at the Go-Mart I pulled of on top of Gauley Mtn. to pee-I mean, check my straps- with this nice load of maple lumber looking down into the New River gorge- there's a bridge over there you can barely see, that's on rt. 16. Rt.60 bears off to the left and goes up the mountain at Chimney Corners, rt. 16 keeps straight and goes down along the river. Western Star that was at the shop. Don't know what it's for, I think somebody just wanted them to try an automatic transmission. Pretty tuff looking truck though, nice on the inside. Good looking Superliner in Rupert, W.V. Too bad the windshield was filthy. Always check the mirrors when you pull out of the rest area. Could have gotten a good R-model picture if I had the window down. Couldn't get a good picture here either, but it's a riverboat- it was huge! I'm in Steubenville, Oh. here, I had just loaded across the river in Weirton, W.V.
