I took 10' wide load of logging mats to N.C. this morning then went to Effingham S.C. to load lumber. Saw some nice old trucks at the sawmill- and this old FWD And this B 61. Even had a Neway air tag axle.

I've seen it for a while too, I was waiting for the hammer to fall...whew, glad i'm not the only one!

Don't forget Charlton Heston! I'm not really a genious, or an exceptionally smart person by any means, but I would say i'm of average intelligence...ok, ok, maybe slightly below average. But even I know not to spend more than I make. I could go max out my credit card right now, but I know i'll eventually have to pay for everything. The gummint, Obama in particular, just doesn't seem to understand this concept. Social security was bringing in more money from it's beginning than it paid out- until just recently. That created a surplus. But the gummint "borrowed" from it all along to pay for other programs, now social security is paying more than it's taking in, and the surplus that should be there isn't. The national debt of this country is way into the trillions of dollars. I once heard a trillion dollars in hundred dollar bills would reach to the moon if they were stacked up. But I haven't heard any democrat even mention the federal deficit, while the republicans seem to "get" that it's a major problem. And the people want what's good for them, instead of what's good for the country, as in "#^*# all dat, I wants my free $#!T!"

I've got a t-shirt with the B-model front on it that almost looks 3-d now. If I keep expanding it'll look like an extended hood.

I was wondering if they did that work themselves, everything they've got looks professionally restored, and good.We ran through rain on and off all the way there, pretty hard rain around Blackstone, but it was beautiful when we got there. And that hot rod might cruise good at 80 but I don't think i'd like to be in it! Would have liked to hear it running though.

I'm just a nobody, and I realize that. It really pisses me off that actors and other celebrities think everybody else should care about their opinion just because they're celebrities. I couldn't care less what Sean Penn, Ed Asner, George Clooney, or Jane Effin Fonda think. I'm sure they think otherwise, but the fact is the world could get by just fine without them. Firemen, policemen, construction workers, and truck drivers on the other hand are very important to the country's overall well being.

or if you were asleep minding your own bidness in a truckstop somewhere and somebody hit one of them air starters in the parking lot- they'd make you jump straight up and bounce off the ceiling in the sleeper!

I know Edgcomb had several of the stainless steel ones made, but I don't know how many there were. I used to go out and look at the one where we loaded- it was up around Bristol, or Fairless Hills maybe? What used to be Edgcomb Steel in Troy, Va. is called MacSteel now.Yeah, I was hoping I might see you there. But those pictures were everything that was there- that was all the Whites except the ones that are in the museum. Colfax will probably be the next show I get to.
