  1. So, you were on the Cross Bronx Expressway and had to stop for a second?
  2. No, they hadn't finished loading in the first picture- it took 4 hours to get loaded in South Hill too. It was a big, tall, ugly load, I used all the straps I had on it- 14 of them.
  3. I saw a big Mack truck near Sharon, Pa. I saw a girl getting gas... I think she's worthy of two pictures, good googly-moogly! I saw a big Mack truck. A girl in a car- Another big Mack truck- A lot of cabbage- A girl in a car-
  4. When I left the port, after enjoying a nice 4 hour stay there, and having to get one stack of the imported Swedish lumber taken off because I was grossing 83,000, I saw a redhead riding a bicycle. I saw Kings Dominion from the truck stop across the road from it, and folks upside-down on the roller coaster. I don't remember the name of the coaster, but it was originally in Ohio, up near Cleveland, and we hauled it to King's Dominion several years ago. Colvin trucking terminal in Orange, Va. We were talking about Colvin a while back, when I was trying to remember the trucking co. that used to be here in Berkley Springs, W.V. which was T.H.Compton trucking. More girls in more cars- It's been just miserable hot all week, I thought I was going to pass out from the heat when I was folding my tarps in Columbia,S.C. Monday morning. I was tarping this load of kyanite in Dillwyn Thursday and had to sit in the truck for a while and cool off before I could finish. Getting unloaded in Chester,W.V.
  5. A girl in a car with a water bottle. The same girl in the same car without a water bottle. A completely different girl in a different car- I went from Turkey over to the port at Morehead City- I didn't even know they had a state port there- to get a load of lumber going to Fredericksburg. Saw a truck getting a load of corn there- Dusty! This ship was loaded with wind mill parts- I don't know what they're scooping out of there- maybe corn. Saw these bridge girders there too, I guess they were imported from overseas somewhere too?..
  6. I had to wait for the train to go by in Gladys before I could get on 501 last week. That's about the second time in 10 years i've seen a train on those tracks. I saw a big Mack truck on 24, before I got to Concord. I saw a girl in a car somewhere. A couple of Autocars in South Boston- both have "for sale" signs on them, they look good. Girl in car- Girl out of car- More girls in cars- - A bird- Getting loaded in South Hill,Va. Getting unloaded at Tar Heel Carports in Turkey, N.C.
  7. ...and you- especially you.
  8. And still hope to meet Ed some day!
  9. Oh, and furthermore- i'm proud to know you Mike!
  10. You know Mike, my first impulse was to say "F*@# Hat City, he'll get over it!"...jokingly of course. But - maybe not, maybe i'll say something sentimental instead. I wanted to go to Macungie this year, and I would have if O.D. had been taken care of, but the main- well, a big part of the reason, maybe not the main reason, was because I knew Ed was gonna be there. So F*@# you instead, for being mean to Ed. I'm joking again, can't seem to help myself! All joking aside- no, seriously this time- you're a big man to say that Mike. There's a bunch that's been here a long time, and while we may disagree at times, I still feel like old friends with most of you, and even though i've only met a few members, every one i've ever met i'd consider a fine example of a human being- well, except may that asshole nocluejoe- but I've been an asshole many times to many people, and i'm sorry for it now, but the fact is- all of us are human beans, we all make mistakes, nobody is perfect, the good people acknowlege their mistakes, we all move on- kind of like family.
  11. Whoa, whoah here- i've had way-WAY- too much to drink to comment further here!..later...
  12. We -I mean "they"- got that too. Sucks to be old and slow.
  13. And all I got was a wing, Mack and Tim got to it first- but if not for that brave chopper pilot and that delicious "original recipe" KFC wing- "extra crispy" is for those who love extra crunch, but it's all finger lickin' good- I might not be here today. And i'm not getting paid to promote the delicious KFC original or extra crispy chicken that's hand prepared daily by our- I mean their- chicken chefs, it's just because it is sooooo good! And now, For the first time ever KFC is offering 10 pieces of freshly prepared chicken for only $10
  14. Yeah, Me, Tim, and Mack all summited that day. We all had a sammich and took pictures of each other on top of the hill.
  15. I did summit Mt. Everest a few weeks ago though.
  16. Wow, excellent! Beautiful scenery there. I can hardly go to the mail box and back without taking a break.
  17. "you need to get them feets off the table, no telling where them things have been!"
  18. I planted them around the first of May I think, you can pretty much plant whatever you want around here by then without having to worry about frost. My brother brought me a small box full too-
  19. I didn't take the blurry picture, some other jack ass did. The food was all good though, none of the food was blurry. I cooked all the meat, Jo made some macaroni salad and some home made baked beans, straight out of a Bush's Baked Beans can.
  20. I do not know, I was wondering the same thing myself.
  21. My grandson eating a cupcake in an unusual way- or maybe it's the usual way for him, I don't know. He had a good time. So did this fellow- ...and so did I.
  22. Nice looking Ford dump truck in Ruckersville. A girl. Old Rag Mountain. A girl out of a car. Big machines....again. A big Mack water truck. From the cook-out. This was later, I think I was making a to-go plate for Ma here, I didn't take any good pictures of while I was cooking or the finished product before it had been started on. I always pull the meat apart on the boston butts when they're done and throw all of the fat and yucky stuff away- or the biggest part of it anyway, leaving only the lean meat. Here's some I made earlier this year-
  23. After I got back from Petersburg I took a load of pipes up to Leesburg, Va. I saw a girl in a car- And a palatial estate way over yonder. Big money! I saw some foxes there too. An orange loader. Pipes.
