  2. Going to paint it Mack Red the same color as my B-Model,,,also going to paint the tanks red. Thought of sripping them, they are aluminum. I think I like the red any comments welcome.
  3. Gave up and removed straight pipes, new mufflers and tips just need to find straps for the mufflers to mount them. Have removed all tool boxes, and headboard. Getting the truck ready to have frame painted. Pictured are before and after pics
  4. I will get some this weekend if you would like.
  5. When I learned to drive many years ago, my father always said clutch for stopping and starting and after you miss the shifts you learn. Since those days have driven mostly mack's and all with out a clutch especialy the B-61 with the quad and our R Model and DM I drove for another guy. I purchased my 89 Superliner in December with a Cat and 8LL and can shift it with out clutch but shifts faster and smother double clutching, so now I am double clutching and runs fine don't think about it anymore.
  6. I have a muffler off my B-61sx that we took off when we restored the truck. It is in good shape needs to be polished up again and attached is the curved chrome pipe above. Make me an offer.
  7. Your truck looks great. Nice job on painting it, like the colors and the interior is nice and intact.
  8. very nice trucks, like the colors. congradulations on the two of them.
  9. Picture of the Bulldog on the hood of my 89 Superliner.
  10. Some more pictures of Leahy Superliner from Worchester Sand and gravel show and side view of my truck as it looks now before going to get frame all repainted.
  11. Between 1978 & 1993 20,280 superliners where produced in total by Mack in the US I have the breakdown by model and engine if you are interested.
  12. Very nice additions, really like the two white supers with the lowboys
  13. If anyone is looking for an Autocar like the one pictured. I came across one in good shape except for broken passenger windshield it was Crane rental of tewksbury Ma, was one of there tractors saw it when I dropped my truck off for service, sin seeing it sitting there, can get pics if interested.
  14. I feel your pain with choices,,,,have only had my Super out ounce since December for a ride. Getting it ready to paint frame in April. But I like your choices to choose from, have same problem only no bikes,,,,
  15. Here are some pics of the wiring on the firewall and under the hood, also took a picture of the diagram that came with the harness, very easy to follow and well labeled.
  16. When we did our B61sx the wiring was shot probably like yours and felt it would be safer to replace. We thought of doing it ourselves but after looking at the time involved and researching a new one we opted to have it made up by Watts Mack, they have a person who makes them up, all labeled and with a diagram. It was done very well easy to put back in and looks neat and clean in the truck. Can get you pic of the harness installed if you want.
  17. Call up to Global in NH and see if he may have a set he took off a truck,,,
  18. Just put 2 new Gladiator tires on the front of my Superliner, they ran me 850 for the two of them. Even thought the truck is for show now spent the money, plus it would have failed saftey inspection if caps.
  19. Thanks for the info,,,,They do look nice on your truck, going to probably do as you suggested have them made to fit,,,,Do that when I get frame painted in April.
  20. Truck looks nice, question for you the stainless pieces under headlights where did you get those, looking for them for my truck to reduce the road chips.
  21. There is a guy in my area, Ma. I believe Arron trading in Salisbury Ma and when I was there early in the fall he was looking to sell a B model I believe a six wheeler, was in good shape.
