  1. You will need every gear ! 🤣I had opportunity to work one of these on a site job for a week ! You really get a work out shifting gears all day! thermal dyne engine ! not to much on power or power band! All I can say it was an experience!!😅 the Note At the bottom of the shift plak there is quite hilarious! You likely would never get into hi gear except on the down hill!🤣
  2. This noise should not be overlooked or dismissed By any means ! depending what it sounds like these engines had issues with the bull gear that drives the cam coming loose ! So pay close attention to it! If it is getting worse Get some help! There is the possibility its the clutch bearing however that noise should change with the use of the clutch should go away when the clutch free pedal is used up! (first inch or two of pedal push! Listen to the engine as the compressor cuts in and out! If the noise goes away when the compressor is pumping All is likely OK! Otherwise I sugest u take it to a (TRUSTED ) dealer in your area for a listen! just my opinion!
  3. You will be fine the only issue you may encounter is it may drop out of gear on rough roads! if it gets to much of a dogs leg in it!
  4. Chester chop you need to change that compressor air filter , Just sayin! As for the charging issue check the big charge wire to the drivers side it had a joint in it right at the box that often caused charging issues! Solder it solid if it hasn't been already!
  5. post the year and model for starters!
  6. Cupdemic!🤣 for you soon there will be a cup shortage ! your useing them up! They need to be a stocking item at your place! MP
  7. So I have located a 87 Case 580E extenda hoe only thing missing is a thumb ! 8000 hrs did these come with a thumb attachment or was the extenda hoe option an either or option for having a thumb! could you have both ! I could make a fixed thumb if need be! Anyone got experience with these units? https://www.kijiji.ca/v-heavy-equipment-machinery/parksville-qualicum-beach/1987-case-580e-backhoe/1629396829?undefined
  8. Up till last year I have always worked in a shop that let us make the calls it would horrible to have to work in that environment ! They hired a micro manager last year and that made my decision to retire! Done! Don’t need this shit! Just drives away customers!
  9. Good find buddy! Obviously not something I would have been my first go to!
  10. Don't let them talk you into the road choice copy cat stuff buy the the genuine Delco!
  11. Guys you’re at risk of breaking the block on e6 if you try drag much more from it! Ambac pump is easy to crank up how ever you run the risk!350 is it’s limit! There was a reason E7 came about!
  12. All good anything I can past on I do! The intermittent nature of this issue makes me think this is what is going on how ever can’t rule out the skirt issue unless you look! They usually didn’t live long but there still maybe the odd engine out there with these pistons! Your no slouch in the info department your self ! I also enjoy reading the posts you make ! A Wealth Of info ! If it helps anyone here its a bonus!
  13. Guess anything is possible joe how ever I highly doubt his cam button has become worn! It’s easy enough to set think it’s a half turn loose idea! The older engines you could take the big bolt off the side of the transfer pump and detention the spring with an extra washer ! I suggested the extra gasket cause chances of finding an extra washer for that bolt would be slim to none these days! As for the button it’s an easy check for sure!chances are the bearings on the fuel pump cam are worn some and he has some deflection of the cam caused by the pump! Causing a fuel knock on cylinder 1 !
  14. Another thing you could try is putting an extra gasket under the fuel transfer pump to lessen the side load of its cam shaft !
  15. 10/30
  16. Be careful! on this ! Mack played about with 2 piece pistons in the this era the skirts can break up! Pull the pan and look at the piston skirts on the cyl you suspect!
  17. The wires will be there and if they are shorted to each other, the computer would think it was in low range and hold back on fuel! No Codes Nothing ! cause all is normal in the Brain It would see nothing wrong with the situation!
  18. I'm leaning to a fuel or programing issue how ever the above should defiantly be checked! What computer type stuff if any do you have access to read codes and look at parameters are you able to get too! (Interested in switch status for torque limit and min max governor settings!) EUP The code is maxed out May help to change it However ! you should install the Cal code if you change it and for that you need a computer if you have the computer hooked up you may just as well look at perimeters! Just sayin!
  19. 😍 Yup Also check Fuel pressure If you can ! R.E.D Great Minds! 😄 Tank Vent as well ! do All the cheap and easy stuff first changing EUPs is a last thing! Boost sensor Ambient air sensor if it has one! All cheap and easy stuff among all the stuff Joe has suggested! Another thought check the Engine ECU Plug wires for coolant push! Unclip them and look inside!
  20. Lot of Case Here! John Deere some CAT AND A little JBC! Latley bobcat is stepping up ! And of coarse the China and Korean Stuff Dosan ect! Of Coarse the dealers snap up the machines and double the price ! Got to find a private sale some where! $40-50 grand for a 9000 hr machine that could have had a breaker attachment mounted to it for its whole life don't excite me much!
  21. Don't like skid steers wouldn't own one! To light for my intentions !Mini hoes are kind of in the same ball park too light! I need something i can move logs and dig stumps out with! as well as do the honey do stuff plant trees move rocks bla bla bla!
