  1. THE OTHER Short answer YES ! But Not ALWAYS However when this happen s usually the EGR COOLER has failed that 1200 dollars now becomes 3000 dollars ! Are u also loosing coolant? If so the afore mentioned may apply in this case you have two choices Spend the the 3000 grand or cap off the egr coolant and cap off the egr valve and bypass everything! This has been done and the effects are negligible!
  2. AMEN to this statement Kev!
  3. U used to be able to by a P2 bearing ( 2 thou over) check and see not sure if this was availible for E7 how ever it was for E6 and E9
  4. THis should be on your priority list!
  5. Has possibilities I guess ! Like our Cell phones etc ! where are the solar panels ? I often wondered why cell phones don't incorporate them ? Same in this instance any advantage would assist in extra miles ! This concept also calls f infrastructure EVERYONE will have to be on the same page! all loading docks every Wall mart every home depot ! fine to say it 500 miles but if you can't get back ???? Also WHO pays for the infrastructure????? Telsa , Joe blows Trucking The government? lots of questions unanswered here!
  6. AMEN BRO!
  7. WHAT HE SAID! Can hurt to know!
  8. Sorry I miss read I had 460 in my head , 32 would be adequate for a 427 are you seeing over thirty on the hard pull is the truck trailing any black smoke while pulling hard this is a sign of leaks! you do have a high pyro reading how ever if it is coming up to that after a reasonable mount of time your likley ok if it snaps up with in a minute or so Id be checking for leaks. just my opinion!
  9. Do you have a boost gauge? If your seeing less than 34 psi you need to check for boost leaks!
  10. We have a company running LNG addon to MP8 here !they seem to be happy with the results (the way I understand it ) The gas subsidizes the diesel around town and flat hyw work and when ya need the serious power the diesel works its magic! No plugs no tune up BS to contend with ! (We Will see how it goes? its been in service for 6 months now!)
  11. We always paint mark the teeth These are real easy to get a tooth out with the hokey way in which the cam is marked! it don't take much at the cam to be a whole lot off at the tip of the gear!

  13. Just assumed ! It has to be some communist plot! Lashing out at the capitalist's and there ICONS ! Got To blame someone! maybe even the Korean influence! Has to be politically motivated Kev the comment was intended as a joke ! However I am in agreement with this comment if hackers would only put half the effort into finding a job that they do into making other peoples life hard, i bet they would find it is much easier being honest!!! GET A REAL JOB!
  14. Yup Barry Done Good ! Only two days ! could have been a lot worse! Dam Russians !
  15. Must have hired someone to hack the site then , it seems there is intruder on the browser
  16. PAI Has some parts for twelve sp
  17. Yup its to bad they don't build em like the CL any more they probably Fired the the engineers who designed it, for making it TOO EASY to work on! THE ERA of the STAND UP OIL CHANGE went away when the CL -CH and the E7/ first ETeck were done! Real sad to see!If I was ever to be looking for a truck to buy it would be a CL OR ch with an ETECK or E7 18 sp fuller in it of this era Fricking awesome!! The ultimate!
  18. Just A word Here , good job getting it going again, however be prepared for buying a new top gearset soon as that bearing holds the pinion in alignment when the nut comes loose it usually takes out the top gear set as well That nut also requires at the least 1200 ft pounds torque to be properly tightened HOPE YOU USED LOCK TIGHT or staked it or you'll be ater again in a short while! Just a word to the wise!
  19. If Your going to up root them pumps Buy NEW bOLTS, ( usually ) the code has nothing to do with a worn or mechanical failure ie: flat or worn roller broken spring! ! also try and get it as clean as you can behind the pumps before you pull em!
  20. I quite like the top mounted fuel inlet ,outlet design of old! The current side inlet /outlet set up is environmentally unsafe in my opinion too vulnerable to the elements especially in off road situations ! In the event a line gets compromised or broken off half the tank of fuel can disappear on to the ground! the extra 2 % fuel storage can't be worth the effort in my mind! And I realize were talking an over the road unit in this instance ! Not so much an issue here! How ever If It ain't broke Dont fix it!
  21. If it is surging at idle as well the you likely have internal issues in the pump how ever do check the lever.just in case.
  22. I know you have said the return spring on the pump is intact however is the throttle lever worn at he cantilever springs near the throttle shaft if these have worn notches in the actuator the engine will surge on light pedal! Just something to look for!
  23. If you find it’s not the switch verify by putting 12v to the wire pass thru on each head
  24. Rare to see a spring break however we had a unit loose exactly 10 PSI once because the front cam bushing worked its way back and got pulled out by the counterweight of the crank ! check the pan see if there is a bearing laying in the bottom! rare but it did happen ! THE FIX you ask ? Lock tight and Install a new bushing! Didn't hurt anything else in our case!
  25. Check your turbo! and fix the leaks first
