  2. Pull fuel pump and send to fuel shop. Its the governor worn out or a sticking rack.
  3. There is a hose store here that sells it and for a three fott section i think it was maybe 12.00dollars.You city will have a hose store also but incase you cant find it pm me and i will give you their # glenn
  4. If there is a spring behind the nut then it would be a pressure protection valve
  5. Just because it will turn full rpm dont mean its getting full rack or full throdle.To check it do so with dead engine and mash it down and have some one see if they can advance the throttle lever any more to go fast. glenn
  6. I think i heard some one say that windshields was no longer to be found for a F model. That truck has been inside most of its life i think.
  7. To check that diaphram use a hand air pump with a gauge on it and connect to the fitting on the housing. Pump up about 25 psi and it should hold the pressure. Also mash you throttle down and make sure it moves the pump lever all the way to go fast. Make sure the stop cable is not holding it in slow postion.

  14. So no one misunderstands the 2V block is different than the 4V block. The engines up to a E7 will be all same cubic inche. That would be 672 and that is from a 4 7/8 bore.Your dad is probably like me and has only seen the worst of them but the truth of it is they have no more cam problems than any other engine unless you are talking about the 2002 and 3and 4 engines.I think the 4 V came out in 84 or 85. But if a 88 had a 2V it may have been put in after the fact.I have a 85 4V and a 86 4V

  18. Thats the plan is take care of the UAW and i hear all old trucks and cars will be done away with in two to four years and then i guess the replacement will have to be built by the union workers. glen

  21. I have one that is 45 years old but the spring is broke and just for fun i ask the mac tool man if it was still under warranty.It took about 5 weeks but mac told him it was not ever sold by them.I tryed to use it when i was young but could bot see no reason.
  22. Start were you left off and start pulling drums and you will find it. Which one? i dont know but sounds like the first one to me.
  23. I have used many reman clutch and not all of then fron eaton.The main problem with clutches is many drivers dont know when to adjust and when to grease them.Then they come in a year later and its never had grease in them.
