I wanted to make my 95 rd into a superliner but everyone on here Said its not worth it and not possible so i gave up and I bought a pete 379 I bought this instead Cost 3 times as much as the mack but oh well at this point.

Well here is an update on the driver fender. I drilled a half inch hole in fender liner right where the dent is And had my buddy who is a paintless dent repair technician fix it. I will have to take pictures when I get back to the shop. pretty impressed what was able to be done though

buy an eldorado vip seat from canada. It will be about 1200 shipped to you. It is a dramatic difference in ride quality. I have 44k rears and a 188 wb and i have a 22 foot dump trailer with spring suspension and that seat makes a HUGE difference. It allows your knees to stay in one spot but your your pelvis moves up and down when you hit bumps. Get the arm rests with it and tighten them up and you literally rest your elbows on the armrests and wrists on the steering wheel all day, no problem. IF a huge bump comes up all you have to do is push down with your elbows on the arm rests. I love the seat so much i am debating putting one in my air ride pete. Good luck

Hey guys I hope someone out there will chime in that has knowledge on this I have a 379 pete with aluminium hood and fenders. There is a quarter size dent on the driver fender but you can't see it unless the hood is open. I have friends that know how to take dents out but the problem is getting access to the dent. On the underside of the fender there is what is called a fender liner that Ind glued in. Anyone removed that liner to fix a dent? How did you do it?

Dont get me wrong. If the perfect superliner came along with an e7 400 Came along with a 13 speed and air ride and 390-417 gearing came along i would pay top dollar but i got tired of looking and the pete will hold its value till now. I just couldnt find a superliner that I wanted

Sas yes its similar. His is a 96. 3406c. Mechanical ( I LOVE mechanical throttles) 390 gearing, 18 speed, 198 wb, 370 hp. Great truck but he wasn't ready. His will be mine someday. I already am thinking of ordering an Eldorado vip seat from Canada again to complete the ride but ill wait. Truck is longer than im used to but already looks awesome in my garage lol. 65-70 mph was right around 1500 rpm. I don't like 10 speeds but its rebuilt 2 years ago and with how torque I make, I jerking I can still keep the tach down low on each shift and make power. it was pretty comfortable on the way home but passenger was making alot of noise. Im going to look into that. Ill post pics here later. Funny thing is, The mack is still an awesome truck for what it is. Can't compare to pete for ride quality and gearing and looks tho. I almost bought a used ch 427 this year with a 13 speed. Was a great work truck but I guess I wanted a working with class truck lol

Well, I just brought the truck home tonight! Tricky at first with having an electronic throttle but ill get used to it. So far I like it Tons of torque down low. The mack isn't bad compared to it. Mack fits me like a glove but the pete is a whole other truck. Ill post pics if anyone wants to see

I feel for ya Rowdy. The real question is how does that just happen? I don't think e7 pistons just break like that. Most people get an overhaul done because rings are shot and whatnot and losing oil. Sounds like something happened and caused a huge surge of oil pressure or something. I would be curious to know what can even cuase this. Hmmmmmmmmmm Keep us posted.

Mack doctor, I am stating that even with running a low boost all day long the truck didn't get any better fuel economy yes my pump is turned up all the way but that just means I use half the amount of fuel to do the same job I feel like having an electronic computer would do a better job that I'm trying to do with my foot

I thought that by getting more power and boost sooner, it would increase mpg. Wrong to some extent because even when you have more power and drive it sensibly, it still takes longer to do the job than it would if you used more. The best I've gotten is when I hardly use throttle, then at 1300-1400 rpm get boost to 40 for second or two for that torque to push me then let it go to 20-25 psi all the way to 1600-1650 rpm and then shift. Driving like that even hauling dump all day would get me 5.5 mpg. Its too much of a mind game and annoying tho. IMO leave it close to stock.Worse mpg I've gotten with hot rodding all day long tho with black smoke is 4.5 tho not bad. imo the best setup was just the torque rise set higher and 30 percent oversize injectors. I had very good response with it and no smoke if I eased into throttle and then floored it, but again it becomes a mind game and tiring lol 3406e for me please.

Do you have any more pictures of how you got that subwoofer in there, is it pointed downward on legs? Where is the amp? What is your rear end ratio? How heavy is the truck? How much mpg does it get? Trying to decide on really well kept 98 pete with 3406e 475 hp. Just kinda want air ride, big engine, and 390 gearing I already have a mack mechanical rd but yours looks like a big improvement. For mine I ran 10 inch sub under the passenger seat and amp on top. Couldn't do the center because the pto box is there. How did you get your truck to have the air cleaner look removed? Did it come that way? Nice truck!!!
