  1. This is what I'm going to build: I even like the paint scheme. Ben
  2. My favorite part is loading and unloading the truck. The day is always interesting, I never get bored. Ben
  3. If you're in the passenger seat and I'm driving, it will handle like a 2005 Corvette. Ben
  4. I think it's June 15-17. Something like that. My birthday is on Tuesday June 19th, it's the weekend before that. Ben
  5. The Slightly Off Topic stuff is what gives this website charactor. I like to hear other peoples' opinions on different stuff. Ben
  6. Yea, it's neat that you like U models because a lot of people are fans of R models and B models, including myself. Since my dad never uses this account anyway, I'm going to try to change the Username from JumperAndSon to BModelBen because I think it sounds cool. Cousin Ben
  7. Cool stuff! Some of those trucks looked like the Rubber Duck Truck. I really like the old GM's too. Thanks for sharing! Ben
  8. And it was a sweet Pontiac car in Smokey and the Bandit.
  9. :clap:That's some of the best poetry I've ever read Uncle Rob. Another thing I've heard about is mud flaps. I guess there's supposed to be a right and a left mud flap, so the dogs match the ones on the mirrors. Ben
  10. Yes I will definately post pictures of the parts. Cousin Ben
  11. You might pass out if you do. Ben
  12. Really? I asked Don at the Mack Museum, and he said that Mack did not use any Scania stuff at all untill the 70's. Our B60 has an END-475 but I think it was repowered. It has the TRD-67 in it. Maybe those mixers were B60's that were repowerd the same way ours was. For some reason the build records for B60T 3908 are missing from the museum. Ben
  13. No. B Models with even numbers (B42, B60, B80 Etc.) were gasoline powered, Odd numbered ones (B45, B61, B75 Etc.) were Diesel powered. A B61 is exactly the same as a B60, except for the engine. Apperently somebody repowered our truck with that motor at some point in time. Cousin Ben
  14. I would love to have that truck. It's cool your dad still has it, that's for sure. Ben
  15. Thanks. If I dont find somthing else, I'll call him. Ben
  16. Cool! Glad your gettin a battery. I was about to have a nervous breakdown waiting for the video, I can't wait to see your truck running. We just found out yesterday that the guy who started restoring the B60 still has everything he took off of it. My dad is going to get the stuff on Saturday, then it will be Hammer-Down on the restoration process. It's going to be a close race to beat time to Macungie. Cousin Ben
  17. Hey Guys, The Mack/Scania Diesel in our B60 has a Manually Filled Lubricated injector pump. According to my service manual, this means that I should fill it with new motor oil every 1600 miles. The problem I'm faceing is that in the service manual, it says "see operation manual for filling procedure" I do not have the Operation Manual, I only have the Service Manual. I need to know where to put the oil, how much, and what grade to put in. If anyone knows anything about this, I would like to hear it, as it is crucial to the life and performance of the engine. This is the pump: Here's the idenifacation plate: It says it is a NNR6H80/273 which is actually not in the list in the manual. The smallest (numericly) is a NNR6H80/316, but that one seems pretty simalar to the one on the truck. Other ones in the book are ...90/360 and ...90/408 Etc. If anybody could share some thoughts about this, that would be great too. Thanks, Ben
  18. Sweet! I would love to have that. You hardly ever see extreme high-performance Mack engines. Someday I'm going to take a Mack/Scania ENDT-475 and put twin turbos and a built P-pump and totaly modify it to make like 800 HP. That would be cool. Ben
  19. Geee, I wonder who would like U models. I was just thinking, I would love to have a U model tractor and stretch the frame to about a 270" wheelbase. U models were originally designed to be short, so it'd be cool to have one thats ridiculusly long, just for something different. That yellow one would be a good canidate for that. Ben
  20. Your kids are lucky. I'm pretty lucky too, There's nothing I like more than working with my dad. As a matter of fact, I'll be going tomarrow to help with a big commercial flooring job. Ben
  21. I don't know how much it's worth, but it's pretty cool. With auctions, its worth what somebody will pay for it. If nobody else at the auction wants it (unlikely) you could buy it for 5 dollars. My dad and I have bought tons of stuff ridiculusly cheap because nobody else wanted it. We bought an old GM city bus for $5 at an auction once. Good luck on buying that Bulldog. I'll look for you on the news if somebody else wins it. Ben
  22. Wow Uncle Rob, sounds like my dream truck. I wish that was the Pittsburgh Craigslist not the Reno. Oh well, I guess I can't have everything I want. Ben
  23. Well, guess what, My dad just called me to tell me that the guy who started restoring the B60 and gave up (that's how it got into the scrapyard where we bought it) still has everything he took off of it. We're going to get the stuff sometime soon (very soon, I hope) but I'll make a list of what we still need after that. If we get all the stuff we need soon, we might just be able to finish it for Macungie. Ben
  24. Okay, I'm going to the shop tomarrow, I'll make a list and post it then. Ben
