  2. I drove a Ford back in the 70's with a Mark Four on top and it did pretty good. It had a bigger cab than the B does. I don't think my ear got cold but that has been a long time ago. Doug
  3. Thanks. He can steer and run the gas but that is all Lol. There are more of that event on my web site. Go to www.latc.us then to the Photos page then look up Urania LA 2013 album. There is a close up picture of it. I am always looking for a Photo Of The Week for the site. It can be trucks, tractors, animals or most anything that is clean. If you have anything you can email them to me at dougsr@centurytel.net in the subject line put photo of the week. Doug
  4. Our Tractor club had a display at a little town near by Homecoming. I thought this guy did a good job putting two steering wheels on his Farmall Doug
  5. I saw this B 61 at a Logging Fest last year. I think it belongs to the Mack dealership in Shreveport, LA but not sure. Doug
  6. The little town where I live the fire dept had an old Dodge like that. I think it had an auto trans. It was real slow. It sounded like it was hauling butt but was running about 35 or 40 mph. Doug
  7. Vinny these guys are "Red Necks". It is a wonder they did as well as they did with it. Lol Doug
  8. I thought that when I saw the muffler under the front bumper. Doug
  9. I saw this truck near Jena,LA at the little settlement of Whitehall today. I thought when I come back I will get a picture for Vinny. I did not get any info from it. No one was there so I did not want to go messing around it. Doug
  10. You was talking about the Tail Of The Dragon in a few post up. I rode my Harley on that road last summer. It is 318 curves in 11 miles. Fun on a bike but not in a truck. I think NC has stopped letting big trucks on it. Doug
  11. We did get another old B from the guy that day for the engine and trans. We had a B42x that had a baby quad 20 speed that was worn out. He had a B42 that had a diesel that someone had put in it with a duplex ten speed. We have put it in the truck and added a three speed brown lipe. We have not drove it yet. The cab is off for paint. I have another post on here talking about it. I think it is under b 42 engine swap. Doug
  12. I should looked over the last post before i hit send. Central. where did the e come from Lol. Doug
  13. I don't think there was any U's out there. That old fart can come up with those old Macks but don't do anything with them. He will tell you I am going to use the cab off this one or the engine from here but never does it. He has a B 61 dump that don't look to bad. I think he drove it in the Christmas parade last year. I got to pass there tomorrow. I am going to look and see what he has out there now. Doug
  14. We was going to get it for the engine. We called and he said he still had it. when we got there all was left was a tore up engine. Doug
  15. This truck had a good engine in it. We went to get it and the old dude had scrapped the cab and busted the oil pan and a few other things with a fork lift. A shame. Doug
  16. This old 58 Ford fire truck was on display at our little town of Urania, LA homecoming today. It Is still in service. They have other trucks but keep this one around. This was the only fire truck they had for years. My tractor club had a good showing of tractors and an old 1936 IH ton and half truck. The little B Model Mack is still getting a restore. I hope we get it back on the road before long. Doug
  17. What a goober to put stacks on a car. Doug
  18. I have an 03 F250 I bought new with a 7.3. It only has 33.000 miles on it. It has been in an insulated garage all of its life. Doug
  19. We started an old Mack engine a few months ago and the rack in the pump was stuck open. Good thing I had removed the air intake hose and had a board to put over the intake. I shut it down before it over reved by cutting the air off with the board. Doug
