  1. Thoses Mack trucks' look good, lots of pride in ownership! (pot stiring) and everyone complains about exporting! they look better then some of the trucks I saw today at the Mack dealer.
  2. about a year ago I hauled one of those backhoes home for my neighbor, he was going to use it keep his pond cleaned, long story short it was more welding rod, scabs and leaks than anything, he eventually got it running and then sold it with out using it, He ended up hiring a guy with an old 1940's drag line to do the pond, that when I seen it I was surprised still was running. Smoke would plume out of the cab and engine door when it would be pulling hard. The drag line looked to be in about a bad shape as that backhoe was. The drag line broke down a few times but the operator got it running and finished the pond and was able to limp it back on the trailer I thought it was going to break down and get left like the one on my father-in-law when he had a pond cleaned back in the mid 90's
  3. they are no longer good for two years? I see some have post good for another year, I need mine before july just found my answers on fmcsa web site "A DOT physical exam is valid for up to 24 months. The medical examiner may also issue a medical examiner's certificate for less than 24 months when it is desirable to monitor a condition, such as high blood pressure."

  7. That shit made me laugh, Are you going to take over as the spelling police for Olivetroad?
  8. Timken to Mack part numbers 414A = 64AX36 outer race 4536 = 64AX202 inner race 418 = 62AX98 outer bearing 4595 = 62AX346 innner bearing
  9. I hear ya, I dont like to be bent over for something that is not as common anymore or make you wait 6 months to get it. About a year ago I was doing some transmisson work on my JD 60 and needed a split bearing that is not made anymore, Napa was able to get me a bearing that was the right size and after about 6 hours of fanagling I was able to put the bearing and the two split shafts together I guess there is always a fix for everything if you have the money and time.
  10. how many does that make now? your starting to be a collector
  11. they have some stuff I was surprised to about the races but I have ordered stuff that the local parts store cant get. If you have to wait on the part I would just a soon order it online and get it at the house on specailty stuff most of the local parts stores charge shipping as they call it is a specail order most online stores have free shipping or its free if you buy $50 most of the stuff I get that way is free shipping or I get a coupon online
  12. if it was for def what is the gas cylinder/bottle sitting on the running board, no of the trucks I have seen that run def have any kind of arangement like that that I have seen. If any one has a picture of a simlair set up post apicture maybe we could figure it out
  13. wow looks like you have alot of time on your hands, I need some help putting up trim in my basement
  14. post them when you get them
  15. i looked at the site and they have the races but they want 3 times the cost of what I got them for through summit racing same with the bearings and seals
  16. I pulled the wheels to change the wheel seals as they were upgraded to wet (stemco) and one was leaking. After inspection at some time not that many miles ago the right front bearings and races were replaced, the one on the left looks like they were soaking in rust for awhile. it was easy to get the bearings outer is Timken 418 and inner 4595 I paid $52 and $63 and got back SKF made in USA next day The taper cup races are like hens teeth, the only place that could get them at a reasonable cost was from summit racing they are both Timken and are 414A and 4536 they were $21 and $32 most of the other places Napa/Mack/Orielly/heavy truck wanted at least $100 + each was special order with extra freight charges I was also told that the Timken number does not cross over and napa found the race based on measurement of the bearing
  17. Happy Birthday, be safe and keep it between the ditchs

  20. Any Ideas, i see that I have a few wet marks on the fins now that i have the nose put back on. Not sure if it can be fixed did not want to tear into it without options at least it is not dripping on the floor yet
  21. use delco mt39, readly available adjustable mount and is what delco siad to use over the other style, then you can do away with all the parallel switches etc and hook it up just like in a car or pickup
  22. I looked at the pictures again hard to see but i can see the rear axle, it is 2000 miles from there to KC, hope you can find some one to do it for less than 6k, I was going to get a tandem in TN, which was about 550 miles and it was going to be around $2700, so I started looking for a heaver GN trailer, mine only has 7k axles works good for single axles but I did not want to chance it on a tandem that far
