Puff limiter does help for cold starts. When the parking brakes are applied, it allows the rack to go to fuel fuel so it can get as rich a mixture as possible for a cold start.

So Mark just to be clear the puff limiter is not working at that point ! Hopefully no one is starting a truck with the park brakes released  ! 😂

Parking brakes applied. If no air is going to release the parking brakes, none is going to the puff limiter. This allows the rack to move to the full fuel position. Even if it is only cranking, still allows as much fuel as possible if you have the throttle to the floor.

Na, it is beacuse if you are a rookie, and trying to pull the loaded trailer with parking brakes on, you need full power available!
