1927 (I think) Mack fire truck

Hello all, my name is Jerry. I am in the middle of building what I think is a 1927 hose truck. I am unsure of the model and the year (I think it may be a 1927 or 1929 from what I recall). It has no VIN from what I can find, so I am a little lost; unless I am looking in the wrong place. I'm hoping to find out some more information on it and was told this would be the group to do it in. It is finally almost done! I have attached some photos of it here. I'm hoping someone could let me know how many letters/numbers would be in the VIN for the year that I have in hopes that I could locate it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance!

if i remember correctly, VIN should be stamped top of frame, passenger side front axle area

Also check the sides of the frames, both sides, above the steering axle between the spring hangers.. I do not think there was an approved place on the frame and who ever had the job of stamping serial numbers sorta put it where he wanted..

Got it. I will look when I get a chance... Do you know how many letters/numbers it should be?

For the era it could be nearly 8 or 9 or so. Something like BX75-1001.

Front rails area is the most making sence place to check out.

What did you do to the rig? Put newer truck axles? Or any other ones?

What size of tyres did you fit? Are those truck tyres or car tyres?
