Any idea? the towel wrapped around the filter housing is gone now. tjc transport Posted August 11, 2023 Share Posted August 11, 2023 that is the fresh air door. on AC trucks it opens automatically when ac is on. if the AC is on recirculate, it stays closed. 1 Quote when you are up to your armpits in alligators, it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp.. Looks like its not working and i really dont see the need to try and fix it. would you happen to know if these RD’s have a cabin filter? I can’t locate one if they do. It is operated by an air cylinder, or build air pressure above 90 and slowly slide the vent control knob, and you should hear a loud slamming sound, that will be that door opening and closing.. check to see if the air cylinder and the bell crank are in good shape.. just open the hood and look..
