Bluebulldog Posted August 3, 2022 Share Posted August 3, 2022 (edited) Have ch 613 that has the 2090 transmission. Thinking of switching to something else. Truck has the 355-380 engine. What would be the best fit. Sure doesn’t need a higher gear and could use a lower low for the farm. I need to look and see what ratio it is. 65 is about 1450rpm. Joey Mack Posted August 3, 2022 Share Posted August 3, 2022 8LL Eaton is a great tranny.. The 310M is also great.. Myself.. when I drove dump trucks. I learned to love multi speed reverse.. My first was the 1070B and the X107 twin stick.. however, the 2013/2018, will get the job done... you'll need to have the get the drive shaft re-done.. anyway, you are in a great place for REAL knowledge.. jojo Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We’ve got a granite that has a 310 in it I kinda like it better it does have lo low for field work I like. The 2090 is still working just not my favorite transmission. Dirtymilkman Posted August 4, 2022 Share Posted August 4, 2022 I'd go 18 speed. You have a gear fir every condition. And if you get the mack 18 speed Lr then you have 4 usable reverse gears.
