Old Dawg 72 Posted July 19, 2020 Share Posted July 19, 2020 I have just purchased my first Mack truck. I've driven several throughout the years and loved them every one. However my question is how do I grease the release bearing on the clutch? My drive train is 400 Mack aset with 10 speed Eaton trans. Swishy Posted July 19, 2020 Share Posted July 19, 2020 Under the bell housing under the clutch mechanism there is a tin plate remove the tin plate go grab a torch look up @ the thrust bearing U shood see the grease nipple only give a small quick squirt not too much OR the grease nipple has an extension extended flexi hose th@ is mounted on the tin plate = no need to remove tin plate cya 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
