Another Application of Omaha Orange

Posted the orange B61 earlier and Terry commented on Omaha Orange.  I liked it on the car of the Rapid Roman, Richie Evans.  Always tried to get to the track when he was at either Stafford or Thompson.

Here is hi, his Pinto and his hauler "Big Orange" at Riverhead Raceway a zillion years ago.

I heard that his start with the orange cars started with either Richie or one of his buddys worked for the Highway Dept and "Borrowed" some paint from them every so often???

I snapped this pic a few years back at the H&K open house in PA.  I thought it was so cool!

To be #2 on this list is a heck of an achievement.

Heard the same story.  It was one way to keep the racing within the budget!
