dds92780 Posted November 28, 2015 Share Posted November 28, 2015 Hey guys I hope someone out there will chime in that has knowledge on this I have a 379 pete with aluminium hood and fenders. There is a quarter size dent on the driver fender but you can't see it unless the hood is open. I have friends that know how to take dents out but the problem is getting access to the dent. On the underside of the fender there is what is called a fender liner that Ind glued in. Anyone removed that liner to fix a dent? How did you do it? Quote Slow and Steady Wins the Race! They have all sorts of fancy tools to get into tight spaces and usually they remove the dent without the need to repaint it. Just a thought. I've repaired small dents in 379's fenders by using some filler, primer, and blending the paint/repainting entire fender. No easy way around it. felicello122 Posted December 5, 2015 Share Posted December 5, 2015 I just took liners out a 379, I got the liners off but it bends the shit out of the fenders, it didn't matter to me because my fenders were shot, but I reused the liners.
