MONSTER Posted October 2, 2015 Author Share Posted October 2, 2015 (edited) YUP GOT THAT BUT NEVER PULLED A CAM OMN A MACK AND IT WONT SLIDE OUT ALL LIFTERS ARE HELD UP WITH MAGNETS IT JUST WONT COME FORWARD JUST WONDERING IF THERE IS A LOCK OR SOMETHING I MISSED ..... I have the lifters held up with magnets and the eup's are out and the rollers for them and I have the two bolts out of the thrust plate on the front. It just wont move. I've pryed, pulled, I whacked it with a dead blow thinking it might free it up but nothing. it just wont slide either way. the back of the camshaft doesn't have anything does it? Don't know 100% as I've never done a V-8. Popular Post turckster Posted October 14, 2015 Popular Post Share Posted October 14, 2015 E-6 and E-7 cams take 2 people to remove without the cam removal tool. One person below with a pry bar (to support the rear of the cam) and the other to slowly pull it out. On an e-tech engine the cam weighs about 90 lbs (with gear) so having the removal tool is almost a must. It can be done like the others but it is a pain.
