Nice trick if you can do it

The matter of the trick is weld pulls the stud walls to its center when getting colder and makes a stud thinner that way.

So after welding a nut a stud comes relatively free.

It's too difficult to weld inside a deep hole starting from its bottom though.

That's how I pull bushings from a lot of equipment, get the pin out then start Welding inside the bushing all the way around. Most of the time after the second or third pass it will make a pop and you can pull it right out.
