Australian wildfires

I have a bunch of Aussie firefighter friends and I know we have a few aussies on here, I can't remember everyone specifically with the exception of mackpaul..... . I have been listening to the Sampson Flat wildfire near Adelaide in SA on broadcastify.com and it is absolutely incredible- 25+ years as a career and volunteer firefighter and I have never heard anything like it before. Your fireys are getting their asses kicked but they are not giving up.....I know theres another big one in Ararat, Victoria about 2 hours south of Melbourne- a buddy of mine who is a career firey, City of Melbourne deployed on a Strike Team down there yesterday.

yes bush fire's are a big part of Australian life our bush needs them to survive to regenerate but the big problem is controlled fuel reduction burns are just about a thing of the past so when she goes she really goes thanks greenie tree hugger types you make our that much more interesting

Paul glad too hear you got them damn tree huggers there too. a fire last summer here took out 250,000 acres and 300 homes thanks to them idiots. also a 1000 head of cows and countless wild life. the Indians used to burn this area every year, now 150 yrs. later we're like you OVER FUELED !

yes a few years ago cost over 150 lives them greenie tree hugger types after WW2 when we then had the gear big dozers ect there was fire breaks put in that the astronauts could see from space after big bush fires in the 30's we had huge fuel reduction burns every year right up until the early 80's then them dam greenies said no more and I reckon it was 83 when we ash Wednesday we lost 80 odd lives we thought we would never see that again but 30 years a lot of people forget just how bad things were greens have more power than ever the fires are getting bigger and floods are getting bigger

The greens blame global warming I say BULL SHIT if you dont have them big fire breaks whats to stop the fire if the logger's arent allowed into get timber anymore whos gunna maintain the roads not the bloody government theres no votes in that and as for floods if you take all the water off the farmers so the dams stay full for people to water ski and sail boats it stands to reason that your gunna have huge floods like we did before the dams were built as theres no were for the water to go and if you dont maintain the flood banks or levies as I think you blokes call them it only stands to reason we will have big floods more excuses for them greenies and it only floods farmers and theres not enough of them to change the votes anymore anyway who needs farmers we will just import the food yeah right thats gunna work well

but what would I no Im just a dumb ass farmer

sorry about the rant but we need a government with balls and it really makes my blood boil that this great country is been squandered away and those damb fools at the top say we cant just change we cant afford to if they wanna know how have a look at history our greatest time of wealth the 50's and 60's we just had a big war WW1 then the depression then WW2 which we couldnt really afford how did we do it pretty simple we made it happen we worked together as a country and we were world leaders in just about every thing and we paid our dept off as well

if I dont say something I guess Im part of the problem

It's certainly the weather for it. I just hope it doesn't cost any lives, or too many homes. And I think I'll die a bit inside if I find out that it was started by an arsonist (arseholes)!

Paul I hear ya sounds just like this country....I often think voters that don't own more than 1 acre should not be allowed to vote or promote policy on issues that affect rural resources !

I agree with the trouble that vouting is formed up by lots of people who just hope for a nice and comfortable (and promised) life.

But those who really do the life and know how to aren't so big in number and not so popular.

As about my country vouting is pre-formed politically and provided by media's.

So if you force your mind a little bit to figure out what's used to going on you would see it just as a clown show.
