You got a set of 3.86/3.87 or 4.17 carriers? I have 3.65 and want to go a little lower.

84superdog are the 3.65 too high geared, what overdrive are you running in the transmission. I have a set of 3.65s I thought about putting in a RS700L with an 865 and a 1070 ten speed overdrive on 22.5 hi tread tires, do you think it would be too high geared for bobtailing around. what would the top speed, would 4.17 or 3.86-3.87 be better.

B61, I run just over 1400 rpm at 70mph with an Eaton 9 spd (.73od) and 11R24.5 tires. I would like to get closer to 1500-1600 at 60-70 so I need to go to 3.86/87-4.17 but for your application with a mack 10 spd and 11 r22's you'd be about right to cruise around with 3.65 rears.

Thanks 84superdog I don't plan on hauling anything with it. I know you have the horsepower to pull 3.65s loaded but I didn't think the 865 would have the power to pull a load with 3.65s. does a 1070 10 speed Mack have the same overdrive that a Roadranger has. if I could find the bellhousing mounts for a westcoast R model or a Cruiseliner with a Roadranger I would like to put a 13 speed Roadranger in it, I have the bellhousing just need the bell mounts.
