Collectable Die-Cast Trucks

Looking to get information on the best way to sell a die-cast truck collection. My father has been collecting trucks for over 30 years and has amassed a large collection(well over 1,000) of Winross, Ertl, Tonka etc and is looking to scale down his collection. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Good question! never been a seller of collectable trucks, been a buyer for many, many years! I have well over a thousand trucks myself! individually, your looking at a lot of time and effort,my opinion is to maybe list them by category ie; Winross,Tonka etc. and maybe place an ad in the Toy trucker and Contractor Magazine.Another idea may be to list what's for sale on here,a great many of us are toy collectors as well as "real" truck enthusiasts.Sometimes even a private auction is possible with a large collection, but of course the auction house gets their cut off the top!.........................................Mark
