farmer52 Posted July 7, 2013 Share Posted July 7, 2013 Today (Saturday) the wife, 2 of her friends, and I visited the Flight 93 Memorial near Stoystown, PA. It is an impressive but somber place. The story about the plane crash and recovery efforts is very interesting. One of the guides said only 8% of the bodies (parts) were recovered. The remains are "buried" at the site - it is one large grave. It is definitely worth the time to visit and get an understanding of what happened on September 11, 2001. One can only imagine what went thru the passengers' minds and also the area residents that day. I remeber reading about this plane and some of the passengers trying to get control off the plane frtom the scum bag but too late, he had already put it in a dive apparently.
