Thanks. They did put V8's in U models. They had the little V8 badge on the hood. No pictures though sorry. I think they were a U615's that had V8's. Im pretty sure U700's had V8's, U700's also had Detroits in them.

Them V8 Mack engines don't like to run too long on their side. I'm making assuption that Detroit V8's were a little more tolerant so they went to them?

Does the bulldog on a U-Model have one hind leg longer so that he is level while standing on that lopsided hood?

I don't know about that but the later production ones had a longer "member" to hang down to keep from pissing themselves while on their side.

Made the rest of them "R" model bulldogs jealous.

Steamed Piss Colone is very similar to "Momma's" natural fragrance.

I've got pictures of one of Roger Gerharts U615s with the V8 in it and one picture of a U700 with a V8 in it that I can post up.

Thanks, Josh :clock_logo::SMOKIE-LFT:

Please post it up. Paul

Here's a U700 brochure from the 70's or 80's. It's shows a U795 with the 325 Maxidyne and the Farr air cleaner. The 375 hp Thermodyne was also available.
