  1. Saw this on Instagram today. 3 week old Pete with a spanish speaking fella behind the wheel. Lost it on the Jersey Turnpike. I see these guys running easily 90k all the time on airbags at the dump we run to. None of them are worth a damn behind the wheel. Always see em wearing shorts and sneakers when they get out of the truck.
  2. If you have the TRXL107, you're in for a treat. I love driving mine. Floats like a dream and you never need the clutch except for starting off.
  3. I guess I'll just get them painted up nice first. Probably buy a boat load of caps for the nuts. What's the best place to buy em cheapest? And does anyone know what size they are off hand? I wanna do the nuts on the cleats and the nuts that hold the spoke to the drum.
  4. That's half of the plan. I thought the baby moon hub caps would really set it off but I'm having a hard time finding anything for those style axle shafts. What are they even called?
  5. I have one already installed on my lift axle and it has three "brackets" that fit behind the bolts of the axle shaft and then the baby moon cap snaps over those brackets. Those are the kind I want. It's a company truck so I can't do any drilling or welding :/
  6. It's on an 86 R. I want to buy some of those half moon hub covers and I don't want to order the wrong ones. Any tips on where to buy those?
  7. Who wants to donate some aluminum wheels and a set of tires so I can match my tanks?!
  8. I was running with all the D'Angelo trucks today at Clean Earth on 61st street. Words cannot express how much I hate that place. Was a nice treat to see those steel nose Rs still workin.
  9. Anderson uses Al Kliesh, rock canyon, billy boy, Bella, ABC, Gentile, Gary Cressman, Kevin Ryder, Abbonizio Transfer, Jetcon, AMPM and Blair.
  10. There's usually 5 or 6 Baro trucks sitting in Anderson's yard every morning waiting for the scale to open. I like the 2 blue R models ABC grabbed. Old and ugly but they're still out there every day. JoeyD, give Kevin Ryder a call. I think his wife used to or still does work for you guys. He brokers a bunch of triaxles in the area.
  11. According to the 107 business agent, every Union truck is working. Anderson has been hiring blair and Jetcon in a pinch. ABC just bought 4 new to them triaxles for that Walsh job. Are you looking to rent trucks to put divers in, or hire rental trucks from other companies? I know a bunch of owner operators in the philly area and I could hook you up with some phone numbers.
  12. I believe that belongs to someone in the Smith trucking crew. It used to sit up behind a shed on 611 in Doylestown.
  13. "Morrissey Green". It looks black at a distance but it's actually a real odd shade of dark olive green.
  14. Jetcon has a nice Superliner too. They've been paving on one of our jobs. They run all Mack's. Have a few of Al Kliesh's old trucks (which are brand new)
  15. My compound stick rattles real bad. Noise goes away when I rest my hand on it while I'm driving. If I write it up, the mechanic will send it away for a month lol
  16. Odd question, but do you have any pics of Anderson's yard when the Tidewater Grain building was still standing? I remember going to the demolition as a kid and they put me on the news because I gave a smart ass answer to the reporter lol. All I can find online is the Tidewater Grain elevator at Girard Point. I'm looking for the one up in Port Richmond. And by any chance do you have any pics of the old railroad yard with the coal unloader next to the Girard interchange? Ever since we started that richmond street job, I've become fascinated with all the industrial history in that area.
  17. Some old trucks rotting in the woods out back of my bands new practice spot. The name was Altemose.
  18. Don't have a picture, but some kid just started working for a new outfit in the area. Pulls in the yard in a brand new triaxle, hops out wearing sandals, and doesn't appear to own a pair of gloves. Mind you this is at an asphalt plant getting ready to run asphalt all day.
  19. Saw this on another forum.
  20. Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout. The only stout I can tolerate.
  21. Damn, if I had the money I would buy it in a heartbeat. Keep it nice and polished AND keep it in Philly to preserve some history.
  22. I've never even been under it to look. It's a company truck.
  23. I'm gonna give this a hell of a bump and open this discussion back up. It's been a few years and I've certainly gotten used to driving the maxitorque. I've been hauling on site and through the monotony of the day, I've been messing around with splitting gears on the compound stick. I can only really get up to 3rd hear on this job, but I can shift it 1LO, 1HI, 2LO, 2HI, 3LO, 3HI. There's one hill in here where I can lug it in 3rd and then drop the compound into LO and walk right up it. According to the sticker on the dash, and this thread, it says it's not recommended. What, if any, damage could I be doing to the drivetrain? I don't think I'll ever drive it like this on the highway, but in here I'm under 20mph and it's neat to mess around with.
  24. My work has an old international with that exact same water tank on it.
