I remember when they first came around... we were on vacation in Florida,,, I was 15 and I was watching a couple of guys delivering soda with one somewhere in Jacksonville I was pissing myself and a little jealous that I was too young to be a part of thier operation they were sitting at a traffic light... and I was wishing I were them ... bob

  10. I have a 1983 motor manual I can pull out if nobody can figure it out... and yes Larry,,,, I had forgotten the starter oiler was tapped into returning line .... thanks for that... bob

  13. I drove a few of them myself I really liked them what I remember most they really bouncy and loud ... not so sure I’d be so happy with that at 64 lol... bob

I guess I kind of got the wrong impression too as well....:you didn’t want to waste 200 dollars on a dead horseI might as well throw in the towel i’ve already thrown how about $2500 and my DM and I’ve barely even made a dent in it not including the purchase price.....: I guess we’re just making sure we’re all on the same page... bob

  16. It was originally 24 V electric starter but since mine does not have an oiler are usually just pull off the inlet line and shoot Jack oil in the starter once in a while.... bob
  17. That’s what kenworth dealer parts man told me years ago .... air starter was lubricated by diesel fuel line .... my truck doesn’t have one because I added the air start ... bob
  18. Maybe some sort of high pressure relief valve not sure of the hand lever with pressure spring????????? Bob
  19. Those things were gorgeous... but from what I remember, they moved a lot more of the LNT short nose ... also did like the later sterling style.., real neat looking rig .. bob
  20. I thought about just by passing the damn thing I really don’t need it anyway but it is handy to have .... all my lines need to be changed But I will certainly try that before..... but mine is a lot easier to get to .. bob

  22. I was wondering if maybe you didn’t give it enough time to pick up the fuel last time I had a prime issue blew air into the fuel tank .... bob
  23. Forgot to mention there is a whole lot of used parts available for end engines out there ....... I would certainly try to repair what you got before switching driveline.... that’s only last resort.... but yes your going to have to open your wallet real wide regardless.... search shipping and $$$ good luck.. bob
