  1. Found on CL. No conn. Low miles, intercooled steel nose- neat. http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/cto/4910879483.html
  2. Just replaced mine on an 8ll. It was not hard at all. Depending on if yours has an isolation bushing or not already may mean the toughest part may be cuting and rewelding your shift lever. I think it cost around 200 bucks, came with the gasket also. I called Cook Brothers and had it the same day.
  3. Kudos to Ms. Vision! Now bring on the grill weather!
  4. You need an attorney- now. She served YOU with papers. You must keep every event documented. Time, date, dialogue, any other relevant detail. Everything that happens is evidence. Also please be careful with your guns, you know her story trumps yours. Things can work out, but something is off and you need to proceed with extreme caution and speak to counsel as soon as possible.
  5. There are threaded ports in your intake manifold where you can install a sensing line to go to your boost gauge. If your gauge fluctuates too much with your sensing line hooked to the manifold you may need to install a port in your charge air piping where it comes from your charge air cooler just before your manifold.
  6. Another question DDS, when you talk about your pump being turned up you say you've got another turn of the screw, on my E7 mechanical pump the only turn of the screw that I have is to adjust my puff limiter. To allow more fuel into my engine I have to undo the cover and slide the plate forward. Maybe I'm confused but are you talking about adjusting your puff limiter or adding more fuel to your motor?
  7. The only thing I thought I read in another post was that the pistons were different depending on the horsepower of the engine. I wonder if that would contribute to blowing a head gasket if you add to much air?
  8. My stock E-7 has always made 30psi or more, gauge is pegged at 30, may be making more. I would love to turn it up alittle. This thred is very infomative.
  9. PM sent, here is pics of a trailer we have in our inventory. We sell repair and lease tanks and truck mounts.
  10. When I had my duramax i ran a program called EFI live and there were all sorts of people that wrote programs for whatever you wanted. Is there not something similar for a computer controlled class 8 engine? The 3406E in my International was turned up but I didn't do it and I'm not sure how they did it. Someone must do it?
  11. If there ever was an opportunity for a reality TV show this F build would be it. I've seen enough custom choppers built on TV to build one with my eyes closed. I still enjoy seeing them build custom choppers -don't get me wrong, but they have yet to go film any fabricators that are taking on these kinds of projects and this would've been a great one to start with. The whole entire process of rebuilding this truck would've made an entire season of TV. I've never seen any desperate housewives shows, but I can't imagine that this isn't more interesting than that. Great work. Keep the updates coming and I can't wait to see it when it's finished -hopefully hooked up to a tank trailer first.
  12. Never mind the Canadian market! I want that here!!!
  13. Ok I'll ask, maybe a stupid question, but why were the B-73s only cummins power?
  14. It had been cold here the last few days. Yesterday I needed the truck and it was plugged it but my timer is only set to come on during the weekdays. Anyway about 7 degrees, truck fired right up. It does run ok. Turning the puff limiter screw made a big difference. Eventually I will have to address the pump form the sounds of it.
  15. She's steady at all RPM. I always thought at an idle it sounded more like an electric instead of a mechanical, if that makes any sense. Like I said though, it will miss as you rev it up no load
  16. I cracked the injectors an each one made the truck run rougher about the same amount. I did talk to my mechanic this week again about it and he is thinking it's in the pump and as long as I can live with it, to let it go. Earlier this past year he did adjust the valves and I'm not making oil. The motor was remack in 2004 but I don't necessarily think that would mean the injector pump was rebuilt also. The truck has 20000 hours showing. I would think that's pretty good time on the pump? I guess it's a case of just how much I can live with. I don't like it- but its done it since I owned it. I'm more concerned that I'm not going to damage anything. Turning the puff limiter screw in did help with the lethargic issue so that was positive. I guess it's time to look for a good pump shop or exchange. Exchange would be better do to down time.
  17. I like it to. If you didn't make it where did it come from?
  18. I got it in the shop this weekend going to check into it a little further. I'll let you know what I find.
  19. I'm wondering just how easy it is to service 22 -24 foot containers and compactors with a 5th wheel roll off trailer. Has anyone had some experience with them? Can you really get into tight spots like they say? I like to let the truck pull under the box when loading, with the trailer it looks like the controls are mounted outside on the trailer. Can the trailer be operated from the cab of the truck? With some of the heaver cans and compactors I really think its easier and a little safer to let the truck be pulled under and would hate to loose that ability. Obviously you will be longer than a straight truck, but the sales pitch is that it bends in the middle making it more versatile. I have some compactors in pretty hard to access spots, tight for the truck, so I really wonder if there is an advantage to the trailer or at least equal? I defiantly know the skill level backing up will be higher. Lining up the trailer to the can with being anything less than straight-on must be a PITA. I have 2 Mack roll off trucks. The hoist on my older Mack (not used as much now) is getting tired and I'm thinking about either replacing the hoist or buying a trailer. I would have to be able to use the trailer just like a truck just incase the truck cant go. So I'm really interested in hearing the drawbacks. If I did buy a trailer I would serious consider taking the older roll off truck and turn it into a tractor to pull the roll of trailer our tankers and low boy. I then could get rid of my other tractor and save some money by have one less truck on the road. Benlee has some good info and videos, but I want to hear from the daily operators for the real story.
  20. Wow, I always thought gold dog was indicative of all Mack components.
  21. Gold dog is all Mack componets, motor trans drivetrain. Any pics?
