  1. No,this red one doesn't really need anything replaced or combined,it's going to get paint,a Mercury sleeper and all aluminum wheels and call it good. The plans have changed now for the yellow one, looking for an air ride single axle rear end for it.
  2. 335 Cummins,Jake & 18 speed Quad. Yes it runs. Also has very early version of the air ride cab.
  3. Take a look at what showed up in Iowa tonite. Thanks again to Dave Clerici , Dan Thomas, and Dan's driver Chris, and to Bill Moonfor letting me unload at Iowa 80
  4. Delivered my '71 R685 wrecker to it's new home today. I don't know how you guys that sell trucks all the time handle it,pretty sad to let it go. Don't even feel like eating supper.
  5. I don't know but the same guy has a '74 Pete 352 kit for sale to,same story, only 70 miles on it since it was built and parked. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-Peterbilt-Glider-Kit-/282167334678?forcerrptr=true&hash=item41b27bd716:g:loUAAOSwdIFX0Zov&item=282167334678
  6. I don't know what the proper Mack # is for it,but I've always heard it called the 3 spring Taperleaf suspension. Dad had an early version of it on his '80 Cruiseliner, they used 4 large bolts instead of U bolts, kept breaking the washers under the head of the bolts. Lightweight and rode better than our camelbacks .
  7. IDK, I'd say at least $50k. It would take a special kind of buyer. By all rights it should be parked in a museum and not driven, racking up miles would kill it's value
  8. http://www.ebay.com/itm/282167362790?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT If anyone wants to get me this for Christmas,I wouldn't object
  9. it's an A model,it has vent windows, rubber mounted windshield, and A type hood&grille shell. All old Macks from the E's to the early R's had the serial# plate put on with screws. I don't think chasis # is missing from plate,he just didn't get it in the pic. That's apretty cool, straight old truck, that vintage sleeper really sets it off. Everybody likes a bargain, but I see $3500 there at least.
  10. Exactly, there is literally something for everyone at this show.Trucks, cars, tractors, steam engines, trains, hit&miss engines, country music shows every nite, horses, demonstrations of old farming methods of all kinds, antiques, flea market/swap meet stuff, crafts, log village, good food of all kinds, camping, you name it. Record crowds this year. I appologize for not getting more of a variety of pics other than old trucks and girls in shorts, but I pretty much stayed in the truck area this year, except for going thru the daily parade.
  11. Shows over for the year, everyone else left so I headed for the tavern.
  12. took me all week to get everyone in the right spot to get all the Macks in one pic
  13. I'm wondering ,since it's a B68,if it was ordered as just a chassis and had the fire body added elsewhere, that would explain the green interior.
  14. Weather's been great so far, lots of stuff to see. 1919 Service fresh from being restored Mikey brought the G73 over yesterday.
  15. Good turn out of Macks so far for this years show. got my own parking spot this year ,getting truck of the year really has it's perks. Got my truck on the exhibitor's hat pin also. Not a Mack, but I thought this yellow Willys jeep was nice enough to deserve a pic.
