I gotta agree with Reese, I've been suffering around here, no tangelos around for almost 2 months...Nice duck impersonation there with the Pringles, I'm assuming this was somewhere around the time "Howard the Duck" was in the theaters? The caption should read "Otherdog emulates his hero Howard the Duck, unfortunately Howard couldn't drive a Mack truck owing to his inter-dimensional illegal alien status, so Otherdog soon gave up this disguise"

Read this morning that volvo ran a VN670 with D13 (MP8) against an International Pro-Star+ with Maxxforce13 and saw a 4% fuel economy (or "fluid economy") advantage, including the cost of DEF, over the International. The test was performed as follows: I would expect at least as much from a Mack.

Yep. He pulled in about 7 am this morning and I couldn't get a picture before he had pulled up so the sun was right in the picture. All the Kenworths are next door. Pretty big pile of 'em, I think they're all unsold!

?! Nope, not Kenworth. That's four full length Mack GU chassis. The only way I could get all four in the shot was from way back.

I think that part number is for the housing in the cab that the steering wheel sits on top of.

I'm kinda surprised it didn't get to the bone, just lucky I guess. I'm always touching hot, sharp, and otherwise dangerous stuff and just never seem to fully learn my lesson.

My finger after wrastlin' with a Cummmins air compressor on Thursday. There area couple of pretty big fires burning a couple states to the west, the sky here is filled with smoke. Prolly be able to smoke those ribs in the open air.

You can put a 13 or 18 speed in but you will have to have the VECU reprogrammed so it sees the correct transmission, otherwise you will have speedometer faults and probably engine derates. What bearing is "a little loose in the main box"? Why were they into it for $4200 if they knew it needed to be replaced anyway?

The way I've heard it from several places, one of the main reasons volvo bought Renault was to gain control of the Mack dealer network, which had a far superior presence in North America.

Leon, I've never had the chance to see one in person but I think the Mack SR70/80 planetary differentials built by Renault used a suspension that was pretty similar to the volvo T ride suspension this truck has. Any chance you've seen any of the Renault planetary differentials over there?
