My ole B422T ORIG Came w/ a 438 gas motor dad bought the truck from a friend of the family in 69 w/ motor blown put heavier springs in the front . & set the 711 that is currently down in it . my granddad ran this truck long after my dads death in 77 until 98 when TDOT Made us go to a tandem lowboy & log tractor . the 711 has been rebuilt once in my life time (im 31 pushing 32) bouit the time i was 12 or 13 the ole motor was bout due for another rebuild bout the time we retired "oledog" i know where 300 2 VALVE Is for sale & has been O/H Recently right before the bed flipped on this 85 DM IT WAS IN . & the DM Is being parted out by a buddy of mine & i can get the motor @ a resonable price & he also has a 237 for sale also IM wanting to update the motor because it is easier to find parts for the 237 & 300 motors than it is for the 711 now My question is : i cant remember Will i need to change the motor mounts out ? Thanks yall & later Bulldog aka

We have owned the Superdog(RW OR Superliner) the DM & THE R . Personally (just my opinon ) ilkied the DM For a dumptruck short hood easier for tightspots the R & RW For log & lowboy tractors . plus i liked the Superliner for the avabilty for a 350 + horsepower motor w/ say a 12 spd TRANNY To pull a lowboy . We have had all 3 MODELS as DumpTRUCKS W/ double frames BUT IN THIS APplication i always liked a DM w/ a 237 or 300 w/ double stick 6spd 18k fa & 44k r/a @ 4:17 to 6:17 ratio on camelback for the pulling power off in the dirt . & double framed . Like i say this just my opion i like all 3 models of later Bulldog aka

8 Hole Pilot Wheels?
bulldog man replied to bulldog man's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
Hi B-61 Ya belive it not thats my buddy that has the C-50 Chevy does for a living is mobile truck tire & truck reapair road service i help him some when he needs it & time allows me . SO if he ever needs em to mount them on a customers truck & doesnt want to use em on the ole Chevy he would have em . We knew would have to get some 10holes for the rear but we figured using 2 of the 3 on the front steeraxle if it allows it Gearhead : i belive it ive been round trucks all my life & thats the 1st time ive ever seen them in a tubless rim & didnt hardly see any in a tube type spilt ring Bad Dog mine are 24.5 Steel w/ grey paint Thanks Bulldog (or ) -
Legend tractor thats 1st 1 ive seen all other have been dumps w/ alcoas 1st legend ive seen w/ Daytons & tube type tires on that late a model truck i thought tube type tire went out round the 80's as a option on a truck i knew they were still on container chasis but not any late trucks Live & learn i guess Bulldog (or )

8 Hole Pilot Wheels?
bulldog man replied to bulldog man's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
Well i was startin to think i was the only 1 who had seen them it was a 1st for me oh well live & learn maybe i can sell them to a buddy of mine who is restoring his granddad 's ole 1972 C-50 Chevy bob tractor truck it had the ole pilot wheels that were split ring in the center insted of the ole standard 1 piece or 2 piece Split ring . as they have 8 holes in the rim but only use 5 of the holes on the front hubs He was really looking for 22.5 pilots but we seem to think we can fit a lopro 24.5 on the ole Chevy If not im stuck w/ em unless they are sold for scrap can find a use for em around the shop i work in . later Bulldog (or ) -
I BOUGHT bout 20 rims the other day off a friend of mine To get what i needed i had to buy the other as well got a pretty good deal & i could use all of them OR sell the 1's i didnt need SO I THOUGHT I CAN USE PILOT WHEELS IN 22.5 & 24.5 & Budd wheels in both sizes as well but i NEVER CAME ACROSS A 8 HOLE 24.5 PILOT WHEEL ANYONE HAVE A IDEA WHAT THEY FIT ? out of 20 it was only 3 of em that was 8 hole pilots have a goodone Bulldog

Old Mack Models?
bulldog man replied to granitefan713's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
HK MY THOUGHTS EXACTLLY I have 2 friends of mine who was working for family (they are bro-inlaws to each other) they both broke off thier own 1 wanted to updated his equipment from a 89 DM the other had 2' 97 RD Triaxle 'S he told the other he would sell him 1 @ a reasonable price needless to say the bro-inlaw who wanted to update went from a Mack to a PETE CAUSE HE SAID YA COULD CHROME A MACK OUT LIKE A PETE & MAKE THE LOOK SHINY LIKE A PETE . PERSONALLY I THINK THE 1 BRO-IN-LAW IS FOR GETTING A PETE JUST CAUSE YA HAVE MORE CHROME OPTIONS I DIDNT THINK A DUMP BUCKET WAS SUPOSSED TO BE CHROMED OUT LIKE A ROAD TRACTOR SHEESH THE Pete he has now isnt half the truck the HE HAD OR THE HIS BRO-INLAW has now Happy new year yall Bulldog -

A Fella that my granddad used to bid a lot of jobs together with had a Brockway pulling a lowboy trailer the ole truck had a 350 Cummins 13spd roadranger on 44k rears & walkingbeams & 7:50 raito rears man she a slow truck but that ole Brockway would pull a D7G Cat like it wasnt even behind it HAVE A SAFE ONE Bulldog -
