  1. I am pretty sure you are going to have to find someone to custom build one for you. I was tryen to find a stainless drop visor for our F model and had no luck. I gave up on it for the time being. Brad

  3. Is it true that in New York city they have reto fitted all the old trucks with DPF set up? If so, how does it affect the older R's and DM's? Thanks, Brad
  4. I think all that news is great to hear. But, do not worry the nay sayers and the Debbie Downers will have something to complain about. Thanks, Brad
  5. I have been thinking about this topic for a long while, and thought about starting it up on here. I think that the granite should have been the new R model. Why do these trucks need names??? What is wrong with R or RS or RW. We know what they are, and it sounds a whole lot cooler than "pinacle". When they came out with the Granite it should have been called the RX, because it is the new R model. We hae several granites at work and they are GREAT trucks. We haven't any of the problems that we had with the Visions. Why are they putting those plastic fender flares on the new ones? Because that fender flare is a lot cheaper than a hood when a driver whacks it. I drove a MP7 and I was very pleased with it. It's throttle was very responsive and it the torqe felt like an old 2 valve. Is the engine like a Volvo? Yes, and thats not a bad thing. If we did not use technology to improve these trucks we would still be running GAS jobs. Thanks, Brad
  6. Nice lookin seat. It would be nice if there was a lil more leg room in RD for rollin in that manner. Brad
  7. I drive a 94' RD every day and wouldn't trade it for Nuthin. It has all the new school stuff: air ride susp., eletronic motor (they are good), air condition, quietier. But it is old school in looks and feel. I wanted to order a New RD in 2001. I specd it out and it would have been a shake over $90000.00 when we were buying Granites for the drivers in the low to mid 80's. I couldn't bring my self to spend more on a RD. Don't get me wrong....the Granites are great trucks, just not my style. That's when I decided to find a used RD and make it my dream truck. It has been a long process but worth it. Now this winter when I get the motor rebuilt and make it a 400 the dream will be complete. Yeah I could have bought it new, but what fun would that have been. I jump in the new Granites and Visions once in a while and I can't wait to get back into the RD
  8. Thanks for the info, but we ened up getting the glass from Mack. Only had to buy 2 for each side. The truck is done now and i have the pictures up in the gallery. Thanks, Brad
  9. http://bigmacktrucks.invisionzone.com/styl...s/textcolor.gif I like the videos you put up. Noticed you had chrome bezels on your gauges. I do to. MY question is.....Are thoe pete style chrome vents and if so do they fit good. I used the pete style gauge bezels and some of them did not fit right. Thanks, Brad
  10. I would love to find a set of the red, white, and blue with the stars like Trent was taliking about. Maybe Barry can work on it???
  11. The mack power divider is the best. When i have to drive those "other trucks" I am usually in trouble before i remeber to throw it in. Our wrench replaced the "peanuts" in one recently and had a couple hundred bucks in parts. Brad
  12. its not to hard. we did one a little while ago. I will ask the wrench today if he rememberes. Brad
  13. That tank your are talking aobut is a constant pain in the RD's and the CH's. We have a 05' CHN and it has what appears to be an aluminum tank. I hope this solves the problem. Brad
  14. who do you like those wide tires? How much wieght did ya lose with them? I have heard that your fuel milage goes up too.... is that true? Thanks, Brad
  15. had this same problem with an 05 CHN . It was a sensor on a wheel for the abs. same symptoms as your truck toa "T". We let the dealer handle it. Brad
  16. What did I tell you guys!!!! One sweet Bulldog in deed. Brad what part of the country are you guys from? Brad
  17. Clean orange frme and a lil chrome, so it has to be a Peterjunk.... come on guys. This guy rolls with a sweet Bulldog. Brad
  18. Some of you guys have a real issue with Volvo and I dont get it. They make a good product. They are also known for a damn good engine. I have no problem with Volvo and Mack sharing engine technolgy. It is smart to distribute the costs of developing a new engine between to comapanies. What would you guys rather have ......no Mack truck.... or Mack truck owned by Volvo. I will go with the second option any day. I think the biggest problem is that alot of you guys are afraid of change. If things didnt change we would still be whippen horses in the morning. I cant wait to get a new set back axle Granite with a MP8 under the hood ordered. Too bad the rest of ya aren't Real die hard mack guys. I will be with thru thick and thin. Brad
  19. Hey Barry??? Is that the Standard stainless sun visor on that CL. It looks to be a differnt style? Brad
  20. I like the older verison of that when they put it in the center of the steering wheel. Our Mack salesmen is old school and still has the dash plaque made for every new truck we order. Brad
