  1. What the Bullsh*t!!

Just couldn't imagine to hear something like that in the States.

I remember the posts about restrictions of having commercial vehicles on a private property and it looked like a limitation of the rights to that property to use i.e. own. Really sad, too sorry to learn such the things guys.

  2. Larry, too hope you may own old vehicles with reasonable modifications with not much bullshit by the way.

We here getting more and more hard lows and limitations although it widely compensates by low level of control fasilitie's technical knowledge. Especially for old foriegn-built vehicles.

  3. I received a quote from Paul's Chrome Plating in Evans City, PA. This business was recommended by the Mack Museum. Anyway...quote is $400-$500 per section for rechroming. WOW!

So I am still looking for NOS upper left and upper right (6MF630M and 6MF631M) sections. Or if you have used that look new, let me know. Until then I will keep the original (?) cracked and faded grille. Maybe I could paint the grille black, light blue, dark blue, or ?????

    Don't paint it!!

Much better keep it as is.

  4. I couldn't get the link to work (surprise) but there is some nut listing an "EXTREMELY RARE" Mack ashtray on the local Craigslist for $300.00 FIRM!.....................................Mark

That thing may work as a good reason to stop smoking for that price.

Smokers shouldn't worry though, there was alot of more reasonable offers a week back at least.

  5. Vlad, don't waste the trip there. I lived 10 minutes from there my whole life. Not much around there anymore. That place was my dream when I was a kid. I loved roaming around the shop when I was a kid. Last time I was there Arden had the shop rented to some guy installing stereos in cars. The place was actually the original Manders Diesel. Then Arden bought it and Manders went to Lakeville.

Thank you for letting me know.

I too liked that H so called Arden and had very nice talk with him.

He priced the truck very reasonable but wasn't shure of the crank turning over.

It was a cold time right about one year ago and he hadn't much want to try it.

After some thinking I resolved to not deal because I would need to pay about 10 times more to the price getting it home with no papers allowing it to drive here. Having no one ready truck project yet I cooled off myself but kept that place in my mind.

  6. Looks like an exceptional episode of the movie "Gods must be crazy".

    Same country, same guys.

By the word Kenian ambassador in Russia visited me couple of times with a reason to get some parts for his S-class Mercedes.

Nice man and I got an impression that things really go much better in that country than you can see it in the movie.

  7. I'm too glad to know you Mike got it but none else.

I mean I'm shure it's a good home for her.

Both trucks look complete so there's no much sence to build one from the two on my mind.

When I was on my holiday I had an idea to get myself to North West Diesel but it was too much for my first trip and too long to drive.
