Vlad, that is a 1953 IH LD405 "Westcoaster". It belongs to our SE IA ATHS chapter president Dick Boyd. There was a nice write up on Dick and his truck in Wheels of Time recently. He actually still runs it on the road spring thru fall, pulling a flatbed and runs all over the US. It's been repowered with a Big Cam Cummins, and he put newer IH airride rears under it when he stretched it from a single axle. I'm not sure what trans. he has in at this time,as it's been thru several,he started with the original 4x3,then replaced the 4 with a 5 speed, then the 3 speed shucked out,so he put in a 2 stick 4x4 married box.It didn't last long,so he put in a 9 speed and later added the back box from a 13,but it started giving trouble too,so I think he's back to a 9 speed now.
Very interesting story Mike. That's cool that someone work with so old truck on a everyday basis. "4x4 married box" - who the hell is it??

Thoose crossmembers look the same in B's, F's and R-model frames. Are they?

Had that series came into production to take place of older ones TR67/72?
If we have any general info on that kind of trannies in wiki section or any other place it's too appreciated to point me to.

Glad to see you've moved things along.
I remembered sometimes about your project and was worrieing you didn't post many updates.
Good luck on the continue, it's not so important to do a long work quickly but to not be stopped on the way.
Looks nice so far

Nice to see the work done.
Those spare wheel carriers are pretty common in Europe and overhere.
I also like that idea to put one on.
Would be interesting to see your turn out although what the place are you going to put it on the frame?

Best B-day wishes!
Still remember I was 33 some time ago.
Looks like long ago now

Ouh, that one is cool.
Glad to hear the sound, I haven't heard the my one yet.
Thank you for posting.

Many thanks for sharing with us, lots of interesting stuff.
Those tracktors look nicely restored and great in number.
One point - what is that bronze-colored beast with IH cab and a long nose?

Nice to see the images out west.
I like the Super and Dodge and the environment in the background.
And all the work with hay you have done

Thank you for the thought.
It's really SGT truck and I have them two trucks and three sleepers.
All are identical.
I noted every R or RW with a sleeper and got the mind my ones look like Canadians indeed.
Although I saw the sleepers of that kind in general but with minor differences. Have never seen a one with water channels around the roof.
With the only exception on the picture of the other SGT R-model of the same bunch as mines were.

Many more rides to her!
Wonder of the day she'll be tall enough to press those pedals.

Shure interesting trucks but the price is way out of range for unfinished projects.
-
It shure will be perfect when on.
Doesn't he have one for a MH by chance?
-
Looks good, hope you'll end up with the frame before white flys.

Looks cool Leslie.
And I'm with Ray - Big "Mack" letters from the front would be good on it.
I always liked your B. Does my memory serves right about it had originally V8 ?
-
That's cool!
Shure worth the time
What's the source of that chrome tranny plate?
Or did anybody make it custom for you?
-
Cool trucks, especially the B, thank you for sharing Vinny!
And Tom, thanks to you for keeping my neck straight
-
Nice to see.
Although it looks to me like nobody noted another point. There's a room for at least two more big toys

Thank you for sharing.
The overall view (of the stock version) doesn't look bad.
The interior is impressive.
And that's interesting they produced in the States.

These pics will help to find a new owner for the truck.
