  1. Couple new ones I've been working on
  2. I love collecting toy trucks and trains. Do a good bit of modeling and I noticed a few others on here do as well!
  3. Hah, this world is crazy aint it Joey!
  4. I saw this earlier and kinda chuckled. Its more than likely just someone stirring the pot and playing with photoshop, but with what behavior I witnessed on multiple videos of that incident I would absolutely not be surprised if that record was legit. Regardless, by now I dont think a person would or could find any real data on her even if they really wanted too. That info has probably been scrubbed an hour after the media found out she was killed. They will now paint her as a hero and give her the same honorary treatment they have George Floyd and his golden casket.
  5. "If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough"
  6. We have sub human scum like George Sorros and company to thank for these protests. Its pretty obvious that a big majority of these people are paid protesters that travel around from place to place to help spread hate and division here in America. Most of these people when cornered have no real idea what they are even protesting nor do they care. They just want paid and attention, thats all that really matters to them.
  7. This is what 3rd world country type behavior looks like. Corruption and Chaos rule those environments. Whats even more telling is, this type of behavior when seen in America is almost always in Democrat ran cities.
  8. That is a really nice old Mack. Wow!
  9. I pulled the clutch on my Kenworth in May of 2025 due to not disengagement and a rear main leak. Clutch had 740,000 on it basically 8 years. Had alot of life left, but the pilot bearing was literally gone. Pieces of it were lodging and causing disengageing issues with my clutch. It was a shame too, because i know that clutch would have went a good bit longer if the pilot bearing hadn't gave up.
  10. Interesting. I will say in the older trucks I've run the organic clutches did seem to have a smoother engagement/disengagement. The newer Eaton ceramic clutches from 2017 on with the newer proprietary materials on the pads of the discs seem to replicate the same smoothness on engagement/disengagement that of an organic material clutch.
  11. Yep. Clutches, brakes, tires and oils have come a long ways. As far as Clutches go, the only thing I ever really see go bad on the ceramic button clutches is the hub damper springs eventually just wear out and break. The clutches facing material and plate surfaces hold up extremely well and dont really ever seem to wear out unless really abused. The Eaton EZ pedal clutches are hard to beat.
  12. Right. I should mention we were doing this with trucks we were sled pulling with. I also was mentioning this as more of an update to get away from the deep dish flywheel and lug setup more than anything else. Not necessarily rating. Yes the 14" organic definitely hold up fine in the lower horsepower applications and definitely depends on operator. No doubt about that.
  13. I gotcha. It was just something I was curious about. Several years ago we did it on a Bigcam. We took a flat flywheel from an n14 and did the 15.5 EZ pedal 2050. Someone said you can do it on an E6 from an E7, but I had never did it so I was curious. I appreciate any info on that if you find out.
  14. Larry, I have a question. Seeing how you're upgrading transmissions and probably going to a new driveline, does a the newer style flat flywheel from an E7 with the bigger center to use a 15.5" EZ pedal clutch and eliminatingthe dog style deep dish flywheellike yours? I haven't personally done that but i heard its an option for an E6. Your flywheel looks great, I was just curious if anyone knew if thats an option.
  15. Joey, I recently did kingpin on one of my MH cabover Mack with 12k steer axle. The new kit i got from mack had the pre-sized steel bushings with the nylon material instead of the solid bronze bushings that you reamer to size. Whats your thoughts on those? Personally I've always liked the solid bronze and reamer to size but the nylon style did go in easy and no reamer necessary. Not sure how I feel on that.
  16. You must live in a bad area. Where i live there's a kenworth factory and a steel mill operating within about 60 miles of each other pumping out production all day everyday. So no, ALL the jobs aren't in Mexico. Theres alot of them but we still have plenty here if you want to actually work.
  17. Nice!!!
  18. I think i can really enjoy a thread like this one because we dont have to stick to a certain thing and step on a person's thread. Ive got enough shop projects to last me 2 lifetimes I think, but I just keep rotating on them getting a little done at a time while simultaneously working them in with keeping up on trucking and repair and maintaining my everyday truck. But I wouldn't trade it for anything.
  19. Exactly!!! (Ive had to tell my wife this on occasion)
  20. Thanks Joey. Its a 1995 with a 3406E Cat and 13 speed. Kinda rare as thats towards the end of production and especially with an E model Caterpillar.
  21. Luckily Kenworth was still able to locate one. I wasn't excited about the price, but glad to get it fixed. Made a new linkage rod too while I was in there. Old was pretty well worn out. Shes back up and going now!
