  1. I'd definitely drive it!!!
  2. I guess I was born in the wrong Era like my Grandfather always said. Here lately after all the issues with The Green Hornet 💚 I've been wanting an older Truck Particularly a CABOVER!!! Now I know alot will tell me that I'm nuts and that's OK but I remember riding in an old Freightliner when I was younger up in Michigan and I fell in love with it. Now a few modern updates would be great like air ride, short frame stretch maybe, and a fridge maybe also a webasto heater for winter. But other than that I just wanna go down the road in a Cabover. Couple favorite ones are the late 70s Freightliner,Mack MH613,International 4070B.
  3. Welcome My Fellow TRUCKER. I'd love to see that Rig.
  4. Would be a nice Canidate for an old school High rise Square Sleeper. I'd drive it
  5. That's exactly how I learned to Time an Engine. I remember I timed my 400M in my 79 Bronco then it got sent to the shop for some other things. I've know the owner since I was little and he asked me if I timed it by ear and when I said yes he laughed alil and said I was only about MAYBE a 10th off after checking it with his timing light.
  6. Sounds like what happened to me but I ran out of Fuel on Caryville Mountain in Tennessee. My problem wasn't the vent either. Mechanic mixed up the lines when he put the tank back on.
  7. Uh huh ok Raphie!!!!
  8. I had an Mp8 DO the same thing and broke the same clamp. Turned out that the Turbo was locked up as well.
  9. That's Hilarious!! Gonna start calling you Ralphie!! 😆 😂 😆 😂
  10. All depends on where you come from....Work trucks....Vintage.....or Beaters... Show trucks.....All the Same Just trucks
  11. YOU'RE GONNA SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT RED RIDER!!!
  12. I agree on a Vintage "show" Truck Git the right stuff. On a Ol'Beater with a heater that gits worked everyday Then Repurpose.
  13. That's what us Simple folk call Repurposing
  14. Exactly!!
  15. Yeah Joey the national average was around 1.00 a gallon In the United States in 1989 so some places may have been lower hahaha. I just looked it up hahahaha. Also I was 2yrs old in 89 hahaha.
  16. They make Tank strap rubber you can order to fit under them straps to protect from Rubbing and Rusting. Don't go the cheap route and try to put 4inch strap material under the straps because that will in turn cause rubbing of the tank and it acts like Sand paper hahaha. I know from personal experience on a 1995 Peterbilt 379 logging/OTR truck I drove for about 2yrs.
  17. Yeah That's definitely a Contoured COFFIN Sleeper
  18. Oh you're Fine Mate 🙂
  19. Yes But I miss quoted which of My Grandpa's trucks he used it on. I believe it was on one of his Mack's.
  20. Yal talking about i-84 makes me glad I don't run up to Dover Plains,NY in New York State anymore during the winter
  21. The Green Hornet which has the MP8 at 445hp under the hood and a 13spd gets 5-6mpg. She used to get like 2-3 if that but after changing the egr it went up.
  22. I'm doing well haven't had a chance to do anymore digging into The Green Hornets history. Had a great Christmas went down to my mother in laws again for Christmas 🎄.
  23. Good deal. I'm not sure on the diameter of an older Mack steering wheel but I think the one on the truck now is 20-22 inches I believe
  24. I've been pondering a Way to make the Inside of "THE GREEN HORNET " Look like an old school Mack. We tried the old school thirteen speed shifter knob but it won't hook up to the 4 air supply lines on the tranny. So I was thinking of maybe getting a old Mack Steering wheel and seeing if it would fit. Any thoughts or suggestions if an old Steering wheel would fit would be greatly appreciated. Now remember She's a 2016 Mack CHU613 PINNACLE for reference
