My R had AeroQuip black high pressure hoses for the air line made by H.O.Penn the local Cat dealer. They looked about the same. I removed them when the chassis was stretched for my 21' equipment body. Paul

Wish you guys were closer nobody does that here on the island, but for me it's close to 800 miles each way.

How did all these unemployed get there?
It won't last long, they will be lined up to get the new I-phone thing. How they pay, IDK
You got some type of gripe with some one/thing, stop on by.
Looking at the news it appears to be alot of well off college kids. They all look like the same crap that spit on me when I came home from service.
I did see one of their "demands" to free (?) everyone! so when do I gets me ma 40 acres an ma mule??

Government paid a lot of money to make me an certified airframe structural welder. Even may have met Rob than, so might as well use it to my advantage. Actually its just a really neat toy, but don't tell momma. Hee Hee. Paul

Add one more thing....make tort reform a federal law and put a stop to the 1-800 style of law that some body owes me for being a Darwin award winner.

UPS man delievered my Zygo test kit last night. Its a dye and activator the shows cracks and bad welds under black light. I learned to use this when I worked EB weld at Grummans Aircraft. The cost is now down enougth to be used by small companies. Tried an un repaired section of my AC chassis to see how it works. WOW I got cracks! Paul

Got back from Hersey late sunday. Almost no early Mack sheet metal. One batch of AC tin, all high priced and worse than what both you and I have. I had a lot of NOS 1941 Chevy sheet metal that didn't sell but sold 11 40's 50's tractor hoods and radiator shells to the rat rod crowd and a ton of Hudson engine gasket sets. Very odd swap meet this year. Paul

Well , I'll never ever open any attachment when I'm eating lunch after seeing that! Paul

Could have been a shuttle or a yarder. The interior fits as being low use. Paul

I'm 100% in agreement with Rowdy's statement. Their "demands" are to say the least interesting, although it does sound like a cross between hippy crap from the 60's and Karl Marx. I've read their demands 4 or 5 times and am truly stunned. This is what is taught in schools and colleges?
To the ones with out work, most won't "lower themselves" to what they consider meanial work, I was raised and raised our sons that a job is a job! Do your best at what ever you have to do and do it with pride, you're still making money whether your sweeping a floor or running a company.
I grew up knowing that if you did something wrong stand up and admit it, you take what is meted out as part of being a responsible person. I do see from their demands that we had better start teaching the tradional values and work ethics or we are done as a nation. Paul

Had to go near the Trade Center today around Wall Street. Saw all the protesters. Asked about it and all I got was gibberish. So my question is What is it all about, Communism or just a bunch of feather merchants or what??? paul

Those style N.Y. plates went out of use here in '70 or '71 so if true than it's been sitting for 40 or so years. Looks mainly solid too. Paul

Makes me sick to see that! Even sicker to know it's got goodies on it. Paul

If it doesn't turn over by the wrench and no metal in the oil filters.Did it smoke at all? White or black smoke? Check for low coolant in rad or coolant in the oil. If it is low, I personally would look towards coolant in one of the cylinders causing Hydro lock. Paul

Wasn't the DM mixer a Hardhat model, not a Mack release? I have one of the DM mixers as well, but never thought it was a part of the official Mack set.
I'm not sure, it's on the same type of base only thing different is it doesn't have the plaque. I'll look under it for the makers mark with a mirror. I got them all when Mineola Mack was bought by Gabrielle in the 80's and all their dead stock was sold off. Paul

Nice, probbly worth the money and the Hall Scotts are a bit of a rarity and I've seen them mostly in fire trucks. I do have a different respect for some one who did all or some of their own work. I did all of my 41 Chevy my self ,except for the chrome and the machine work on the engine. Not every one can do that or has the place to do it,so I've come to feel that how ever you did it ,by labor or by check you have saved it from being scrapped or just rotting away. I do feel though that if you wrote a check at least have the basic knowledge of the vehicle. Saw a "gentleman" at a show a while back with a perfectly restored Packard. A 99.9 point car, except the clock wasn't working. He had panic finding his "man" who came over and wound the clock! If you own it at leasat know what makes it tick. Paul

They're made by Bristol Pewter. I'm missing the M-75SX, but do have the the others in the set including the 1910 5 ton, Mack Junior, DM 600 Mixer and the Cruiseliner. Very nice and tough to get. Rarely come up for sale.... ever!! Paul

Good idea!!
The one thing about the Occupy Wall Street crowd that resonates with many Americans is their opposition to bank bailouts. The idea of using our tax money to bail out millionaires is nuts.
But that's exactly what's happening with Solyndra. Some of the $535 million that taxpayers just lost with Solyndra is about to be used to pay off the investment of billionaire George Kaiser and other investors. These millionaires and billionaires made risky investments on Solyndra, and they lost. When rich investors make risky bets and lose, they should have to eat their losses. They certainly shouldn't get paid back by taxpayers. But these friends of Obama are about to be. That's not only unethical, it's illegal.
It's in direct violation of the 2005 energy law, which clearly states that taxpayer loans get paid back before private loans on these projects. Otherwise, taxpayer money will be siphoned into the pockets of the rich guys. But someone in the Obama administration made a deal with rich Obama fundraisers to go around the law.
If the Wall Street protesters are really mad about taxpayers subsidizing millionaires and billionaires, than they should bring the house down on the Obama administration for subsidizing a risky investment made by a billionaire friend of the president. But so far we haven't heard a peep from the protesters about it.
Time to speak up and shout out, or shut up and go home
