Very clever! maybe volvos new motto????.......................Mark
Volvo's got to pay royalties to the White House for the change you can can't count on.

If you look at the skid pattern in the rocks from the rear axles, it appears to have been dragged sideways to it's current position.
Such a shame. Owner/moron probably settled with the insurance carrier, kept the truck due to age, and is trying to "double dip" into the pot.

Funny. I was wondering yesterday how much of the damage was caused by Machine Moving it. Paul

I knew Miller manufactured towing / recovery accessories and was a world wide distributor of the major recovery equipment companies products.I did not think they made entire wrecker units.
I just bought a new Weldbilt equipment carrier unit for my R model and all the accessories are Miller products. They appear to be a high quality manufacturer.
When I worked at a Century dealer in the 70's the slings and other towing equipment supplied with each unit was a Miller product. I've always had good luck with what products I've used. Paul

Paul, any pictures of the funny car? i spent a LOT of time at Englishtown,NJ in my youth and what they call "nostagia"racing is what i grew up with. "Vintage" funny cars, top fuel (front engine) pro-stock cars are something of a hobby of mine............Mark
I ran at National Speedway under the UDRA, Etown and Thundervalley under NHRA , Dragway INC in Pa under AHRA,
Bob Barry drove it for two races the went big time. I was running a E/Gasser (still have it) and ran the aa/fc at the same time for all but two races. Best time of 202.45 @ 5:97.7 We ran a 392, 2 speed and a 57 Olds rear. That was the year that Donovan came out with the Aluminum 417.. Alcohol fuel, launched 5 blowers in one season and lost our sponser. Never had the money to do it right, but had a hell of a lot of fun.

Welcome. I'd soak the starter unit in kerosene or diesel. After years of use the vanes (paddles) gum up. What did you do with the mixer unit? My mixer was parked in the late 60's early 70's with a full load.... Paul

"And, most important of all - Don't tell people "it ran when parked". They all did.
Just Have Fun,
Paul Van Scott"
I've found most people with trucks have the good traditional values of of honesty, integrity and willingness to help each other, much different from most car guys. Not including the AMC guys.
We dealt with a man in Utah that had a 1954 Mercury Sun Valley for sale, original owner. Sent photos to us via Email of the car.
We agreed on a price and drove out there from L.I. to purchase it and trailer it home. Turns out the photos were copies of when it was new...not as it sat in the north forty for 3o years...BUT it ran when I parked it there...still can laugh about that after 14 years though. Paul

Try the Mack museum, if you give them the VIN, they should come up with its build specs as purchased. They ran mostly single axle MR's in the NYC /Long Island area. Paul

My collector pile of vehicles all have collector insurance on them as in progress restorations and NYS historical tags. They are behind a fence and treeline. The insurance and tags remove them from the violation list. As for my other collections......my wife and kids say I'm a hoarder. Paul

Sure like to have a few of them!! Paul

I added an extra tank to my R and made up the same type brackets from 1/8" thick x 2" x 1" angle from Home Depot. The straps I got at Napa for holding a 10" round muffler. Probbly get it all at a Tractor Supply store. Paul

And one more thing. These are the off spring of the 60's Haight Ashbury type people. The followers of Abby Hoffman and Timothy Leary and Hanoi jane.
I will say this, whom ever is pulling the strings be it Accorn or the potus...they are following the WWII play book to the letter. Blame a group for their problems: Israel and the jewish population, Kristal nacht...a minor one in San Fransisco. I wait to see their retaliation against the neighborhood shop owners and what Blumberg and Kelly do. Paul
