    Wow,you`ve done all this in a few days? I`d say you`re a pretty darn good mechanic.

    Ok,I`ll see if the lever isn`t moving it`s full travel.If that valve did close on shutdown,would it help to keep the fuel system primed?I don`t have a manual primer on the supply pump.

    The lever at the pump moves and rotates it`s shaft when I pull the dash knob,just doesn`t stop the engine.I could open the fitting,but it`s not leaking....and it`s cold out.

    Mechohaulic,you`re right...the cable moves a lever at a brass fitting on the IP,but doesn`t shut off fuel.The internals must be broken or removed?The other shutoff cable moves a lever just ahead of the governor at the rear of the pump.

    I have a throttle knob...it works but won`t stay pulled out,I have to hold it in position as the engine warms up. I`ll trace the inoperative PULL TO STOP ENGINE knob cable,if there is one.

    I have two"PULL TO STOP ENGINE" dash knobs.The one next to the ash tray does stop the engine,I think by shutting off fuel to the injection pump.The other knob,to the left of the steering wheel doesn`t have any effect.Is this one supposed to cut off air somehow? Thanks.

    Mine too...6 am.But today he stuck his nose out and decided he`d rather not.It was 5 deg F.

    Well then maybe they didn`t own my truck.I assumed they did because their name is on the mudflaps,but maybe they sold these to customers.

    They owned the 1961 B61 at one time,that I bought last August.They appear to be out of business,phone is disconnected.I was looking for any info/history on my truck,wondering if anyone here knew this company. I`m waiting on my info from the Mack museum.Thanks.

    Wow,those pics are incredible.I don`t have the necessary shop or equipment,so I`ll do my best next Spring in the frame.Is acetone a good degreaser/prep choice?

    When I see restored trucks here,it looks like the engines have been dipped in a vat of paint.Fuel lines,bolt heads,pulleys,pump,compressor,etc,everything gets sprayed.Is that the way they left the factory? With a lot of degreasing and masking it seems that you could spray an installed engine.

    How do you get rolling w/ a stuck clutch?Just crash it into gear?

    Thanks for all the info.And I didn`t know to floor the pedal,I thought the injection pump compensated for different temp mixture requirements.It`s Not Easy Bein` Green.
